This is a discussion on What do you do when you are unmotivated to play within the online poker forums, in the General Poker section; So player, when you get tired of the game, what do you do to reverse that feeling.:jd4:
when the time comes that we must stop we must do it otherwise we can play badly, when we spend a lot of time playing at the end we will feel tired and it is good to stop and regain energy to play the next day, in general the game does not bore me, nor tires me, it is the body that gets tired and needs a break, and I think we must be very responsible with that to not lose focus of the game and get distracted.
I stop playing for a day or two, in my case that is what I do, it is not that it discourages me, what happens is that I get saturated when I play many tables and that makes me play with anger and making bad decisions, fortunately it is not something that happens to me often
When I get tired of poker I just stop playing it for a couple of days! You should not sit down to play if it does not bring you pleasure, because you will not be able to concentrate properly and this will greatly affect your game not for the better! Relax, take a walk or do something else, and then with renewed vigor, sit down and conquer the poker tables! Good luck to everyone at the tables!
Well, if you play non-stop, you end up getting bored of anything you do, it doesn't matter what it is, but if you play regularly without excess, except only if you play a tournament that lasts 6-7 hours when you manage to make the final table , you should not get bored

life is beautiful :)
I would just turn off the computer and do something else for a few days or even weeks. I rarely ever feel this way but I have actually taken a month off from poker twice in the last 15+ years and when I was ready to play again I jumped in and was fully motivated and playing well. There are just time when we all just need a break.
Good afternoon. As I play mostly freerolls and low luy-in cash games, sit&goes and spins, I´ve never felt that way,so I play almost every day and enjoy the game.If you feel unmotivated, just stop playing for 1 or 2 days until you feel eager to play poker again.
If you're unmotivated, quit altogether, or, change your poker style. Problem here, is that, it's hard to break habits, so if you come back, it won't be long until non-motivation kicks in, again.
If you're unmotivated, but know you'd like to try again, read some poker books during your layoff, but don't come back until you know that you have/can retain some of what you've learned, that's different to what you're doing now.
You can also watch some poker videos, and look for similar situations where you acted differently to what the pros did.
Non-motivation is very closely tied to poor results, or results that aren't up to the standards of what you want.
I probably won't be original, but if poker is not fun, stop playing for a while. No need to play violently. Do what gives you pleasure at the moment. Maybe after a while the desire to play poker will come. And if not, then quit this business) Not yours means
If I'm tired I just stop playing. A break is the best option in this case. Fatigue can lead to mistakes and loss of money respectively. Losing money will lead to disappointment. A break is the best possible option.
re: Poker & What do you do when you are unmotivated to play
When you feel tired or are sick of the game, then take a break. Let the break be a few hours, a day or a month, whatever you need. Tired players make more mistakes and you obviously want to avoid that.
If I'm tired of the game, I stop play for a while - a couple of days or weeks. But if I see that I'm tired of the game because of bad beats and losing streaks, I try to think about my poker goals and think that I can't give up until I achieve them.
I play poker in the evenings, after work. I work as a driver and of course sometimes, in the evenings I am very tired. In such cases, I prefer sleep. In my opinion, the game should be fun and that's why I never play if I'm tired.
Oops! I have been going through that situation a couple of months ago, I lost the desire to play and the truth is that I do not know how to feel motivated again. I go into games and after a couple of minutes, I get bored and start bluffing mindlessly. I wanted to share it with you. Hugs

When I play, it's because I'm losing money. But when I'm making money, it's impossible to get tired, because every dollar I make is an extra motivation. In my case, I revert the feeling of tiredness to being motivated by victories in the hands played.
So your question is about the lack of motivation during the game
Interesting question, I haven't thought about that yet, i have already encountered a lack of pre-game motivation.
Watching poker streams can work or other motivational things, maybe listening to music too.
So player, when you get tired of the game, what do you do to reverse that feeling.
this issue is very difficult to deal with if each player acts in a way some take a week to rest others face it anyway because they live off it and with time you arrive at a final table to see that you managed to win and the desire to play again
I had a period like this too. I stopped playing for 3 weeks, I didn’t do anything that was in touch with poker, I even didn’t watch any stream. For me it was a good way to get back at the tables with joy and a good feeling
