you will find the pace of one hand is very slow.
besides ...there is no multi-tabling.
if the table is full of drunk player, you will filled with dirty "FuXXX" something all the night, and the most important thing - You cannot mute that player's chat box. because it is live casino.

honest to say, live's winning rate is better than online, because sometimes a lot of weak players showing up.

There are more of these online than in all of the casino in the world combined.

In a casino you actually need to know the rules, learn them before you go.

I as well as many never was in real casino though I represent as it is interesting and disturbing. Several times we tried to play with friends alive, but it takes away a lot of time and some inconveniences. Therefore I prefer online though I don't exclude an opportunity to play casino.

hello,,,playing poker at cazino is not the same as online poker....A face 2 face game differs....A good player can see your reactions or maybe he can see your body .....also at a casino you need more money for a good tournament

I never played casino poker but I want to say that my opinion is that in live poker easier to play as to watch the reaction of rivals to do the right insights

In turn, when the enemy is looking for you, you should be able to hide their emotions! Play Casino difficult, but interesting! But of course you choose! Going to a casino can be considered to be a fun! Big money does not play! The casino always wins, remember! I do not know how to hide their emotions, but try to learn.

Slow but Good

As has been said its a lot slower in a casino, but also check your local area for any arranged tournaments leagues ( normally multi table events ) they are not always held in casinos ( clubs or bars ) also they have cash games after you get knocked out of tournaments :( a good way to learn live, and normally the same faces in a league situation so you get to know more people

I never went to a casino. I would like to know what are the differences. Maybe being face to face against your opponents do the easier

1) There are no conveniences available like statistics, HUDs, or that tracker that always tells you the pot size. You have to do these things for yourself. On the other hand, your opponents are right there, so pay attention.

This is the biggest failure I've seen with these on-line hot-shots: they don't pay attention, and they pay big time for their folly. It is harder to pay attention live due to all the distractions. Most card rooms have big screen TVs playing, there's more noise, and you can't turn off chat live.

2) You will put more money at risk. There simply are no nickle and dime live games. The lowest stakes at the vast majority of casinos is $1.00/$2.00 no-limit with a $200 max buy. I would strongly suggest staying away from any small stakes fixed or spread limit games: the rake at these games is so larcenous that they are unbeatable.

Live players also tend to open for more than do on-line players where a 3XBB open is pretty standard. Live expect to see 12XBB opens. Live players typically want the hand to end right now because they're afraid of post flop play.

On the upside, expect weaker players. Live, the rec-fish aren't playing every day. On-line, a rec-fish quickly goes broke or improves.

3) Expect a slower pace. A live dealer can't match an RNG when it comes to dealing the cards. Also, you don't tip an RNG, and it's customary to tip the dealer, but that can really cut into your EV.

4) Temptations are everywhere. If your name goes on a wait list, then wait until a table opens. Don't "wait" at a blackjack table or you just might find yourself sans buy-in when your name is called.

Dorugremon is spot on. One thing I would add is that you really want to understand the rules before you play. For example online you can pre-fold without penalty, but live it will not be tolerated. How you push your chips into a pot, how you keep them at your table is also very important that you don't make simple mistakes that the dealer can penalize you for(depending on the casino).

Betting with a chips stack is very different then clicking and while this seems obvious, you may find yourself a bit nervous because now those chips in your hand may be worth $100 bucks or more and you are pushing them into a pot you can lose, when you have the best hand flopped. Losing money online does not feel the same to me anyway as cash slipping away to bad beats and bad reads. So you want to prepare yourself.

Having said all that you will probably settle in pretty easily once you get the feel of the table. Then you get to see how well you really can read other players.

Huge hard peredovat difference between playing at the casino and online! If it were possible I would play only in casinos, but due to the ban on gambling in Russia is very problematic. Only in special gambling zones, to which I personally get very long and therefore play online

To the casino where I play I went always at night, and the same style of players, more precocious when playing, the pace is slower, check the table well to read opponents, the atmosphere is very different and the echo of sitting in a Real table and be at home playing online, there are many differences it is easier to recognize the style of play in real table by the aspects and gestures of the opponents, feeling the cards in the hands gives a different feeling to online that we only see, from my point of view

For tournaments MTT
Online - some players stall forever
Casino - much less frequent
Online - All in is the first thing players learn
Casino - Players think it's crazy til short stack or final table
Online - Usually lot more players per tournament, you don't get to know the players before one of you are moved.
Casino - much less movement between tables.

As others said there are a lot of rules and nuances to get comfortable with live. Opening raises are often bigger. Acting out of position is a big no no. Have to keep cards in plain view, can't hide chips (i.e. putting a $50 chip in middle of your $5 stack or holding your hand over your stacks). Don't talk about what you would have had if you were in hand during action. Dealer can't tell you how much your opponent "has left" in their stack or the pot size. Don;t string bet. If the chips cross the betting line, you've made a bet. In most casinos you don't even have to speak if you don't want to and can make your intentions known with your bets only. Tip the dealers. You can also leave the table as needed to take short breaks.

First time I went I learned a lot from the other players. Many players are pretty friendly (keeps their customers happy too). Just picking up on these little rules goes a long way.

As for reads, pay attention. Watch for patterns, watch how players are playing each other, listen to table talk, ask yourself if the plays make sense. You can learn a lot watching how another plays. I self talk a lot live (in my head) reminding myself to occasionally mix my play up, keep track of pot sizes and position at all times, be mindful of my body language.

You'll find different styles work for different folks. Live I'm generally pretty patient and tight. I also tend to use body language and false tell techniques. Don't be afraid to play very tight and very patiently. I'm amazed how you can fold for hours and still get callers at 1/2 live. People wanna gamble. Also don't be surprised when you bet and get 7 callers.

Can't speak on live tourneys yet.

The difference is that online poker knows exactly what it has in the pot, the stacks of opponents and what percentage we bet. In the live, we are only notion of quantity. And the handling of the chips is also very interesting. That's the big difference.

Dorugremon has all the bases covered. Just pay attention at live tables as you sometimes can read your opponents.
