What is the weirdest thing you have ever seen in a Poker Room?

I was at the Borgata in AC one time while a major event was going on with pros like Scotty Nguyen.

Anyways, at a table next to mine, someone was arguing about a hand being mucked, security came, argued still for 20 min, the guard pulled out the stun gun and the guy went away quietly lol

I worked in a poker room for 5 years, so I have endless stories of weird things. I saw a lady throw a full White Russian across the table, an old man clipping his fingernails at the table, several fights, two deaths, and an unlimited list of the stupidest plays you could imagine.

I can imagine 5 years of working in card rooms being a surreal journey... people dying is pretty grim man.

I've seen a grown man short hair tough looking. with a goatie about 18/19 stone cry like a girl and then have a baby tantrum because he lost to a flush with 2 pair.

and a guy that run like god

I had a drunk guy try to nap on the live Hold'em table I was playing on.

He also kept asking what the time was and if he was "late".

Ok, here are two that come to mind:

1) "THE BEST HIT AND RUN OF ALL TIME"

On a busy Saturday evening we had a list 30 players deep for 1/2 NL. We were short dealers and it was a rare occasion that players had to wait 1-2 hours for a seat. We finally opened a new game and two women sat side by side with $20 each in white. I informed the new players that the minimum was $40 and the one lady slid her chips to the other (and proceeded to just sit there with no money and not say a word.) I asked here politely if she wanted to buy some chips and she said "No." I then told here that if she wanted to watch her friend play she would have to get out of the chair because other people were waiting for a seat. She promptly stood up and stood behind her friend. I dealt for the button and the remaining women started UTG. I deal out the cards and she is staring into my eyes. I say, "Two to call" and the lady responds, "Can I go allin?" I reply, "Sure!" The lady pushes her two stacks of white chips forward and everyone snap folds, she wins $3. As I am shuffling for the next hand I say, "Ok small and big blinds." The lady looks at me again and says, "Can I leave now?" I say, "Yes" and the two women leave, never to be seen again. These women waited about 90 minutes to play one hand and win $3, or $1.50 each if they split their profits.

2) "THE WORST C-BET OF ALL TIME"

On an average (passive) 1-2NL table the BB had an average stack of exactly $76. 5-6 people limp and the BB ($76) raised to $25 (first raise over $6 I saw at the table all night.) One player from MP called and it's heads up to a flop of J 5 6 two hearts. BB leads $50 and the other player notices that BB has only $1 left and says, "Allin." The BB tanks, says something very cliche like, "Well I guess you got it!" and decides to fold and save his $1.

there is a player at my local casino that keeps a small bird in his shirt while he plays. He only plays once every couple of months but he likes long 12 hour sessions. The area around his seat looks like the bottom of a birdcage before he finishes.

Sunday May 5 ant the Normandie Casino, some jackass staff member had decide that festivities were in order and for over an hour a Mariachi band blared mariachi music around the tournament area of the Casino.

Not only weird but extremely tilting!

I saw a guy throw a hay maker at a guy 3 times his size. He missed and the big guy dragged him out of the poker room by the collar of the other guys shirt.

At EPT Deauville, I saw a hand take place that was heads-up on the flop. The dealer was messing with the muck when he inadvertently flipped it over and exposed it. Only one player seemed to notice and a ruling was asked for. The tournament director ruled the muck had to be exposed to both players!

The hand played out as normal except with the entire muck on the table face up! made for an interesting hand as the two active players checked what cards were dead!

I hate it when dealers thumb the muck!!!

I was playing in a casino in West Virginia. I was playing 2/5 NL. This guy had blood coming through his shirt. Apparently he had some sort of tube that fell out of something. It was odd just to see blood everywhere...Gross too.

ewww wtf

The worst is sitting next to someone with BO. You HAVE to move otherwise you basically suffer and your play suffers too.

People may not find this weird but I sure did. A guy won a royal flush jackpot for 7k and didn't tip a dime.

I was at a casino on las vegas, late one night , was small buy in like 35 dollars or so.There were like 3 tables left and an argument broke out at one of the tables and then the dealer got involved. IT was about a hand going into the muck, before it should have or something. Only weird thing was, so many people got involved in argument, and they let it go on for 25 MIN. and hold up tourney all that time. Then it got scary, with people standing and yelling, etc,,, have no idea wh y they let it go on for that long. was very strange....

I really had to think about this. I have seen many strange things happen in rooms full of degenerates.

I guess one of the strangest/funniest things I have seen is:

Some dude lost with AA in a huge pot at a charity room. The guy who stacked him was horrible and made a series of awful calls to win. The dude with AA picked up his chair and threw it at the dude who stacked him.
