I have contacted Full Tilt's support asking about it and I'll show you the email I got back.

Hello Sean,

Thank you for your email. From viewing your account I can see that you
are tagged to another affiliate. As this is the case I can save your
details to our data base for further consideration, with regard to an
alternative to Rakeback. Please let me know if this is something you
would be interested in.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Best regards,

Lisa

The Affiliate Team at Full Tilt Poker

So I sent them an email back asking what they meant by "as this is the case I can save your details to our data base for further consideration, with regard to an alternative to Rakeback." but I have yet to get a response which is very frustrating. Now that I think about it, it has been almost a week since I sent them that email asking what they meant by that I think I'll go send another one to try and get a more straight forward answer.

lol Affiliates are a pretty silly thing anyway for poker sites. The majority of people who were going to play poker were going to play regardless of the affiiliate offer.

If its wrong for him to make a new account, then it's wrong for anyone who already knows about fulltilt and was going to play anyway, to sign up for a rakeback deal. Because affiliates are supposed to offer the incentive to play at the room, and if you were going to play anyway, its wrong and your just taking advantage and blah blah blah blah blah...lol @ this thread...get your rakeback bro!

Don't contact FT about it (they could care less if you get it or not). Find a rakeback site and see if they can get you switched (they have incentive to get you switched if possible).

Yea im trying to do the exact same thing as you. When i started, i set up several accoutns to spam freerolls to learn etc, then i started playing real money on another site other than FT and haven't played there since. I want to switch to FT because 1. it is an active good site etc and 2. because i want rakeback, which isn't offered where i am now.

I emailed them basically saying that i will play at FT if they give me rakeback, otherwise i'll find another site that does offer me rakeback (or stay where i am) and will never play at FT.

So far the only thing i can tell is that their email service is PATHETIC...as the site i currently play at always emails back within a few hrs.

LOGICALLY, SeanyJ is completely right. As with me, there is ABSOLUTELY NO INCENTIVE to play at FT without getting rakeback. No one is tryign to scam the system...if you have never played real money at FT and would only play real money at FT if given rakeback, that is equivalent to them enticing you to start a new account (coz im sure that FT really intends ppl to start accounts only for freerolls :S). If you have never deposited at a site then that account should be easily enough deleted and you allowed to reregister. However, if im told that they can't do so im not going to try and get around the system ill just find somewhere else.

Delete this thread, make a new account, and hope for the best.

The worst thing you could have ever done is make it public that you are doing it and posting it on a forum.

I really don't think you want to make an account. Presumably, FT can track both IP and the computer used, so unless you intend to use a completely different computer and hope that they are ok with multiple accounts from the same IP address, you are best off not risking losing everything you make on the site for the sake of some rakeback...

Is the problem that you have a previous account or that you signed up through another affiliate?

Like I've said earlier, I don't think Full Tilt is looking around at poker forums for this kind of thing. And no where do I mention my name or my account names at Full Tilt.

I signed up using the Cardschat link so I think that is the problem. And I know that they allow multiple people from the same address to have accounts so if I just made an account under a different name I don't think there is really much of a risk in doing so.

I found this page on a rakeback site,

Create a New Rakeback Account to

so I'm going to wait and see if I get a response from that, and I still haven't gotten a response to the email I sent Full Tilt which is pretty ridiculous I think.

Just FYI: I had two full tilt accounts too, each using different promotions. I also hadn't deposited on the first one. Since I didn't wanna risk my money being taken on the 2nd account I politely asked full tilt and they actually closed the FIRST account. So now I'm straight with them and didn't have to go thru with any of my schemes. (lol)

Also, i asked full tilt twice, the first from the wrong email address to see what they would say. And BOTH times they answered before 2pm the next day.

Yea it isn't like it would be hard for them to close a no money account at all. As for the email thing, it's been 3 days since i emailed them and they haven't responded...whereas i've never had to wait more than 2-3 hrs for an email at the site at which i normally play.

Logically, the reason you have to sign up with a rakeback site on your first account, is to ensure that you aren't already a paying user at FT and trying to hook into the deal afterwards. If you have a free account, they don't have your business, and, as such, there really is no reason for them not to close your free money account.

So after contacting RakeTheRake about my situation, I got this email back.

Hi

Thank you for your email

This is a common question and so we need to be clear about the procedure.
Please read the mail to the end.
In the event that we cannot help you, I hope you will consider us for
rakeback at other poker rooms.

Firstly if you have ever played for real money on the original account then
you cannot get rakeback from Full Tilt on that account
If you try to create a duplicate after having played for real money with the
original account, it is likely to be terminated by their support staff.

If you have never played for real money at Full Tilt, then you can create a
new account there through RakeTheRake.

In this event you should follow the instructions below

1) You should uninstall the software and delete your cookies an internet
files
(In your internet browser click Tools>Internet Options> Delete Cookies and
Clear Internet Files)

2) Then you can visit our page Full Tilt: Receive up to 27% rakeback from Full Tilt
and follow the instructions to download and create a new account. You will
need a new email address and you will need to choose a new screen name

Of course your friends and family are always welcome to join the FT rakeback
program through RakeTheRake at any time but should they use your computer to
sign up you should make sure that you uninstall the FT software first, clear
cookies and files (In your internet browser click Tools>Internet Options>
Delete Cookies and Clear Internet Files) and then download from our page.
This will give them the best chance of being tracked to us correctly.

Alternatively you might consider signing up at one of other rooms which you
can find here

Rakeback Online Poker Rake: Rake Back Deals & Offers

Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

Kind regards

RTR
So they are saying that if I've never played for real money I can simply make another account with a new email and that wouldn't be breaking any rules. I sent them another email just to clarify that I will not be running any risk of having my account closed

As for FullTilt, I still haven't received a response to my email which is pathetic. I will send them another email later tonight after I get home from work if I haven't gotten a response yet, hopefully they will just close my first account since I've never played for real money.

And just now I got a response from RakeTheRake

You will need a new screen name and a new email address
You should be OK with the other details since you never played for real money on it, it is merely a play account
If you have any problems you can let us know
Kind regards

RTR

So it looks like I won't have to break any rules to make a new account which is pretty awesome. :p
