Tournaments are better , I enjoy playing lots of different players they all have different ways , they play. I also enjoy cash games , but I really can't get into. Tournaments you have to play more hands, to try to build your stacks. Cash I find is too much folding waiting , for the good hands. Plus I like eliminating players , with so many different styles. I like competing against all different players.

I only play tournaments. I hate cash! In the cache, most players will have stacks of 100 bb+. This means that players will have more room for maneuver, both on the preflop and on the post-flop. And this will inevitably lead you to make difficult decisions from time to time.
And when the stacks are deep, luck will often be on the side of more skilled players. This means that inexperienced players in the cache will drain their money faster than in tournaments.

Therefore, if you are a complete beginner in poker, then training will be much easier and cheaper for you in tournaments. You will have the best chances to become a plus competent player faster.

I prefer tournament poker. With a small investment, you can win "up to" a very big one.
The cash game is more boring to me (although I just may not have played it high enough not to be boring).
The advantage, however, is that you can get out of the cash game at any time.

In cash games, unlike MTT, you can leave the table at any time without losing money.

I prefer tournaments because you have an entry price that will be the risk that you are willing to lose, if you enter early you will have many blinds where they can give you all kinds of cards and a good percentage of winning, to reach at least itm and when You enter the bubble and you can play freely since everything that comes will be a profit, if you did not reach itm you already know exactly how much you lost, instead with the cash game each hand that you are given will be part of your bank and each hand won or lost will directly affect to your money.

I definitely prefer tournaments. For the people that say tournaments take too long, there are 1 and 3 table Sit & Go's that take a lot less time.

I find that I need to play the first third of a large MTT one way. The middle third another way and the final third yet a different way. The Sit & Go's, I believe gives you more practice for the final portion of a large MTT.

I like to play both cash and tournaments.

I'm the same here I try to be good at both but they're both different worlds. In tournaments you can make life changing money and everybody starts at the same level of chip stack playing field. The bad side of tournaments they can be extremely long and test your patience and discipline but that's something you have to develop over time. But there are different modes of tournament play such as MTT's, SnG's, Spin N Go's, Heads up SnG's, etc.

As for cash games I like them as well because you can get in and get out like a robbery anytime you want and not be imprisoned with the hours of a tournament. Sure you can make fast money but you can damn sure lose it as fast as winning it. Also another downside of cash games is that the playing field is definitely not leveled because you can come in short stack while the chip leader with the most chips can bully the table. On top of that the blinds never go up so there is no pressure and that can be an disadvantage for anybody. To make life changing money in cash games you have to grind grind grind and consistently make money daily and go on consistent upswing hot streaks and that is not easy!!

Cash Games IMO!

Depending on the tourney you are playing, you take several hours to get an amount that in the Cash games you take in one hand!

Depends on where I am playing, On-line I prefer Free-roll Tournaments and Ring Games, Both can be profitable especially the Free-rolls as all winnings are Free Cash, but when it comes to Pubs, Clubs, and Casino's Cash table's are my preferred game, in a Live situation, I am usually playing against weaker opponent's that have already busted out of any Tournament game they came to play in.
Even some of the biggest names in Poker are really only interested in any side action they can get when they are at some of these really big event's.
Winning a huge title is always a dream for most player's but actually winning one has huge odd's against doing so, I always look at it this way, If I am playing in a 9 player Ring Game my odds of winning are 8/1, but in a tournament of a Hundred player's the odds increase to 99/1, it's a simple way of looking at it but it work's for me.

When the fun Stops, STOP!

I prefer to play tournaments because when you play cash games nothing is changing.
In tournaments you have to play according to situation (changing big blinds etc)
For me tournaments are just bigger fun but I also like to play with friends live

In rainy weather, I prefer a tournament, because the cash game does not take me more than half an hour.

I have not tried those ... haven't seen it on BOL or Bovada.

I am not sure about Bovada. I do know that BOL - Bet-on-line definitely has a fast fold game. Each poker site has it's own name. pokerstars is zoom. You just need to look for the Fast-Fold game on each site.

I prefer tournaments because there's always the chance to achieve a ''one time''.

The downside of tournaments, it's difficult to start a session in the same room and you always have to look for tournaments with the same limit in other rooms.

On the other hand, for the cash game it's easy to launch tables of the same limit at the same room.

Tournament

Tournament play is a far different approach then cash game... it requires patience. Also you can play tournaments with higher buy ins and bigger rewards and less people and then it comes like a cash game. I prefer tournaments, regular time because I have time... I don't want to fill someone's wallet for fun....:)

I play tournaments because they pay less and win more than cash, for example
