Just reviewing the errors and starting over will always beat the drop.

Every so often a post appears asking the same thing. Poker is a frustrating game, sometimes you have been around for hours and around the FT you get hit by a fish that has no idea about the game, these are things that happen and you have to accept it. Even the worst bad beat that can happen to you, that 2% on the turn, will happen from time to time, especially if you play regularly and therefore many hands. A good way is to look at your graphs. You will see then that in the long run the variance always stabilizes, even though sometimes we have 10k of hands downswings sooner or later it stabilizes

I've been tilting and punting my chips off recently so I withdrew my entire bankroll and will refrain from poker. If I really get the itch, I'll play some freerolls. Will take a break for a few weeks and I'll deposit once my mental game back

How do you deal with tilt?

I usually leave the site so as not to abruptly start raising rates, calm down for 5 minutes and then go back to play calmly, it is especially offensive when I am won with much weaker cards. And how do you deal with this?

More you play, less of an issue it is. Everyone hates as you described, getting beat with a weaker hand. At some point you except it, back of you're mind you know you got the call you wanted. Just didn't get the results. Any more for me, being ahead on the call is the win, regardless of the results.

All the HH I ran, are right in line with the odds, for the most part. I'm winning a few hands coming from behind and losing some ahead. Losing a hand behind is a bigger "kick in the teeth" than giving one away. Well, it is for me any way. It indicates an error or a bad read on my part. No self reflection for one you lost but shouldn't.

My only problem with tilting is I don't realize that I'm playing differently until I punt away two or three buy-ins on a tournament I can't even afford to play in.

Whenever I'm able to catch myself on a tilr enduced rampage, I'll usually take a step back from my computer (I'm an online player) and come to my senses. I'll tell myself that if I don't calm down I'm only going to be throwing away my time and money. Sometimes, When it's especially bad, I'll completely walk out the room and make myself a cup of tea or something like that before I go back to the tables.

Anything that calms you, as long as it preserves you ability to play poker is a good thing. It's going to be a different solution for everyone.

It's just a game, sometimes you're going to win and other times you're going to lose, you have to accept it and that's it.

A single bad beat doesn't get me on tilt, it's often the combination of not getting good starting hands, while the table bully gets a pocket pair every other hand or hits the flop with every draw. In these cases I log out because it doesn't help if someone else is lucky all the time.

There's a way of getting away from tilt. Just keep in mind that there is nothing personal neither a matter of being unlucky. When you realize you are reacting or acting irrational you reduce the impact of moments of tilt.

You shouldn't play poker in bad shape. It will not lead to anything good. Just do other things on that day. Save your bankroll.:)

the game has variance you have to be prepared do not get involved in marginal hands that will steal your entire stack

My recourse for that moment is based on automatically getting up from the table and going to get a glass of water while still holding it in my hand, it is the ritual of getting up, leaving and going back to sit down to know what to do. change my mindset

I stop to play for some days, after this i am really happy to play again. If it continues with the suck outs i make more break or only play freerolls.

Take a break from that site, or take a break from poker for one day. Then return with clearer mind.

Tilt is part of many players games and once in the Tilt state of mind their isn't much one can do but gather themselves or their mindsets in whatever way works personally for them. Each of us are unique and have to find what our own triggers are and prevent them and then find our own path from there.

Prevention is my solution, but to each his own.

I recover from tilt by not thinking about the unskillful move. The important thing is to think about building new moves that can leverage the amount of chips that exceed the previously lost hand that can cause tilt.

Stopping playing for a while is, I think, the best medicine. It is also important that you understand why you went berserk and whether you will find it worthwhile to go through this again in the future. If the answer is yes, then it is wise to regularly scrutinize yourself.

If I'm playing well and things still go wrong, I prefer to stop the session and come back the next day, or after a few hours.

I try to do other things to distract and occupy my mind until I'm calm and focused to get back to playing at my best level

I am sure that we all know how to deal with tilt, but for some reason we never (at least I myself) do it!
