Usually you want to have a bluff with at least some equity moving forward. Even a gut shot can work if you think your opponents has weak enough cards. Usually a successful bluff is based off of what comes on the turn/river. If you have a 2flush board that makes 3 on the turn, that would be a good opportunity. Same as if the board only has 1 high card like a 3 6 10 rainbow board. It also depends on how aggressive the people you are playing against are. Other recognize how these are good spots to bluff and might call one street to see if you continue. It's important you have a good range on your opponents if you want to continue onto later streets. If you are more inexperienced I would only recommend a standard C-bet and maybe another on the turn/river if a good scare card comes up, otherwise you are probably playing in the dark.

Do not bluff much bluff just when it's worth it If you bluff too much, they'll get you. Who tells a lot of lies, an hour is caught in the lie. Do this in important pots, not small ones. Will you bluff to win 30, 60 chips? If you burn all the ammunition with crumbs, you'll end up with nothing.
