I hate cheaters!!

First allow me to apologize for the delay in responding to your report. This
particular case was quite involved and more time than usual was required for
the review.

We have concluded that the play of 'nic1215' and 'Rocky252010' violated the
integrity of our games. They have been informed that they are no longer
welcome to play on our site. In addition they were disqualified from events
in which their unfair play affected the outcome. While we appreciate your
vigilance in bringing this case to light, unfortunately you did not advance
into the money due to the disqualifications. However, we have refunded your
buy-in of $3.40 for Tournament #308808962 so that you will not have been
affected monetarily by their cheating.

The integrity of the games at pokerstars is of paramount importance to us
and we will not abide unfair play in our games. We work hard to police our
games to assure our players of a fair, secure place to play. In the rare
cases where violations of our Terms of Service have occurred we make sure
that any players affected are compensated appropriately.

Please accept our thanks for your timely report and continued play here on
PokerStars. Please do not hesitate to let us know any time we can be of help.

Regards,

Teymour

Nice work!! You mind telling us what you saw that led you to reporting them to PokerStars? So others may know what to look out for.

well the main thing I noticed was that both players always played the same hands through 44 hands they were both like 72/24 or so but exactly the same and they would both call shoves from other players with often terrible cards and if one of them won the hand they would quickly dump off some of the chips to the other. Their strategy was pretty bad as far as collusion goes one of them did finish 3rd but the other busted right behind me they busted me out in 6th calling my AK with a couple of rag hands and hitting.

oh forgot after that tourney ended they joined another tourney together. Yes I was all tilty and stalky like so I looked em up.

:congrats: Well done. Don't you just lov how obvious and down right dumb some people can be.

And yeah, the whole "banned and die" thing is a little too far, but only a little :D

just wondering what tipped you off? was it an SNG? I imagine it is easiest to discern colluders in SNGs... although there is a particular situation i can imagine where one is decides to play with their friend in an SNG and while not cheating- meaning sharing cards, tells or dumping- they refuse to play against each other. I wonder if that situation is verboten or merely frowned up.

ah i see rereading that they did a little bit of everything. did you call them out at the table?

Cheating can't be tolerated at any level - so what if they're 72/24.

The point of poker is to make money. Cheating is only a problem when it reduces your ability to make money. 72/24 players are obviously donors, so getting rid of them is not something you want.

It's a little hypocritical to suggest we should only have cheaters if they're rubbish players.

I dont think thats what he means. Bad players are good to have. Of course no one want colluders on the table, and since they will know each others hole cards this is never good. But an idiot is an idiot, and just cause he (she) has an idiot partner as well, it can still make for an increase in a good players stack. They obviously need to be reported, but I know what Belgo was saying.

Oh yeah, I'm not disagreeing with Belgo saying bad players are good for us. There just needs to be a line. If you cheat you should be out, whether you are a great player or an awful one.
