Was playing last night and i searched for a player on my table and noticed he was on 12 tables at once! This was very questionable. I checked everyone else at the table and there was another guy who was at a lot of the same tables as the other guy.. i reported this to pokerstars. One guy actually responded to me when I beat him by going all in with AK and beat the KK he was holding. I told him I don't play fishy people and he goes what you cannot beat a bot? How lame is it these people using these devices prolly playing premium hands hoping to get lucky on fish throwing their money away.

watch out for Danpil and thajman

in fact report them as well.

I've played 5 tables at once before, my god that was enough. I couldn't keep up most of the time lol....Of course I was doing other things so that could be why.

8 completely overlapping donk n gos too. ^^

with the right setup and with practice, 12-tabling is entirely possible. heck, there's a vid out there of some guy ~24-tabling.

Bots cannot speak. If he talked to you, he wasn't a bot.

lol - was wondering when someone would say this.

I have seen both Chris and Liam on 8 or more tables at once. They might not be normal but they are not bots lol.

Actually there are bots that have software that can speak to you, but the responses are varied and would not be as complex as what the OP said it stated. Majority of bot makers are borrowing software from chat room bots which are very advanced and will talk and have a conversation with someone. One more thing to this matter i also wanted to ask if anyone noticed the abundance of names on bodog that have a name followed by wins, example corywins, kristenwins, etc..etc.. as I noticed they do not talk back and seen a few on multiple tables I was playing. Has anyone on that site noticed that as well or am i just seeing more than there is?

The kid admitted he was using a bot
He said he was using a bot for the simple reason that it would make you feel uneasy about playing at the table and you would make mistakes, but the mistake he has made by playing so many tables is the fact that, for the most part, will only play premium hands, which gives you the advantage, you can't lose money to this player and if you do call one of his raises, it will have to be when your holding a premium hand, otherwise stay away from this player but keep a close eye on these types who like to multi-table because they are very predictable because most will have a set betting pattern to coincide with what they hold.
And any bet that seems out of the norm for these players usually means a bluff. IMO
This is what I have been noticing about multi-tablers and I usuall take full advantage of the reads I have on these types, I don't make alot of money off them and they don't make money from me:)

Excellent point. I have also noticed this. A player who is on more than two or three tables at one time is usually easy to read.

Well, just because someone's running a bot program doesn't mean that a human can't be observing and chatting if/when necessary.

I think the pressing question is why on earth, if this guy was running a bot, would he say he was running a bot? :p

Bots just keep the playing field even for a longer period of time for the bad players. These bot users wouldn't have a chance playing live. Playing more then two tables at once is foolish, and playing more then that, is usually an idiot with money to burn. Some of these people that won big tournaments, via online satellites, just had there lucky day happen at the right time. If there playing 8 games at once online, they're just confirming how lucky they were in the first place.

Very interesting article, Stormswa. Bots are a huge threat to online poker, probably the biggest, for many reasons. Although patterns can be spotted by site owners, administraters etc., there is always the concern of programs more and more sofisticated that make them hard to notice, plus they can be programmed to occasionally "mix it up" which can make the process of identifying them even harder.

Also, poker sites really have to have the will to hunt them down. There could, potentially, be a conflict of interest there. Bots have the ability to play longer hours and generate huge amounts of rake. This is a good reason to play only in the bigger sites that are more likely to have that incentive to keep things "clean" in order to protect their business, although more players also means more difficulty in tracking them.

I really think bots are dangerous for online poker. I'm not a computer expert so I'm not able to elaborate much on them, but the effects could be disasterous.

These are for sale all the time but are a scam. If you created one, you'd be playing in all the games with multiple computers. Plus you'd be winning millions. I don't believe this.

One other thing, what stakes were you playing for?

Premierplayer. . .come on man.

This is in response to the so-called poker player "premierplayr". It is I thajman, Your nefarious "bot" whom you so duly reported the second you realized that I was multitabling. I honestly think that you're ignorant and extremely gullible to originally think I was a bot and then confirm your suspicions once I "admitted" to it. And for the record in your last post on this thread. . You "busted" me w/ AK allin preflop after my rr and you caught your A on the river. You were sitting short so there was no busting, and you didn't have AA as you said. I don't know what else to say except you're ridiculous. I called you a d*** b/c you were being one. Throwing around accusations is not to be taken lightly around me. Please don't waste peoples time by jumping to bs conclusions.
