Thank you Chica, your words were surgical. You understood the stress-creating points very well and indicated which wires to cut to defuse the pump. Really interesting what you wrote.

I've had to stop because of the 'addiction', but not because of the stress itself.

As for stress, poker and stress are synonymous! haha
If it was for fun, I would be at the beach, but since I'm in poker, I'm always worried! haha Not always in a negative way...

In fact, one of the reasons poker is so interesting would be that feeling of always having the flea behind your ear, or that bluff that passes where you were behind the screen praying not to be called... and when it passes, there's even a dance! hahahaha

People react differently... for some it just takes a few hours or days away from poker for everything to go back to the way it was.

I used to feel that but now its pretty rare, with the understanding of the core game of poker I was able to overcome this, of course I still get a little tilted from time to time but not to the point of having to stop playing poker for a while
this can happen to a Team Star player The certainty of being a player to reverse the situation leads to victory

Has anyone ever had to step away from poker because of stress? because I needed months.
No. I would literally lose like "huge amounts" to gambling and still not run away ...
Also its never wrong to use method "poker owes me" - this could work well with casino and others aswell :)

I never had to walk away, but it always takes a lot of psychological work to not allow the situation to get out of control.

For me it was the other way around, I had stress in my life and poker was a drug to escape from that stress. Unfortunately, I switched to blackjack way too often and lost most of my money there.

Playing only freerolls I don't get so much stress that I need to get away from it, I just try not to let my emotions influence my game so much

Yes I’ve stepped away for a while myself due to stress but poker wasn’t the cause of the stress it was just adding to the other stresses and was an easy stress to eliminate for now.

That hasn't happened to me, I usually take 1-2 breaks without playing and that always helps me to always be focused regardless of the result of the day, and when I usually have a bad session I don't play anymore until I'm out in open tournaments

Stress you find in many areas of everyday life, not just poker. I've stopped playing because of stress, but I got it into my head that I play more for fun and I try not to let it affect me when I lose or make a wrong move.

I see poker as good way to spend some quality time. And maybe win along the way.
If an activity doesn't bring me positives, only negatives, then i step away from that activity. For shorter or longer periods. Simple

Stress is a part of Poker, as and Life... Therefore, I merely continue to play, and wait my chance!..
Nothing more, and nothing less! That's all!

I took poker as a basis, if I lose, then next time I will definitely win, and the correct expense of the bank allows me not to worry, perhaps if I were professionally engaged in poker and it was the main source of income, then there would probably be stress, but always there is common sense and analysis of errors why this happens.

poker was stressful for me, if I paid the last money and counted for a golden shot.
poker was stressful for me if I sold things to play a one-shot tournament.
Poker is no longer stressful for me if I play according to bankroll management, in my case freerolls, and try to have fun without paying up, and build up a bankroll from nothing.

In the last 8 months I have managed to pay out a total of $250 just by playing freerolls on cardschat ;p

If I am stressed because of what surrounds me in everyday life, poker is a boon, it relaxes me, it is a sedative..
