YouTube- Estelle Denis vs JC Tran Shocking WSOP Ruling or Not - WorldPokerExpress.com

I honestly wouldn't know what I would do to a dealer. I might've meet him outside in the parking lot and beat him down till he coughs up my buy-in for the main event. I can't believe wsop tolerates this b.s. I'm honestly considering about getting a good-looking card protector. Usually, I used casino chip as my card protector but when I'm all-in, I have to use that chip as well. I feel bad for Estelle Denis.

I get the feeling that the dealer is new and it didn't seem like he was paying attention to what was going on.

That is a tough to recover from. Anyone know how she finished up. Pocket aces in muck with a all in. Wow, you think the dealer heard this later "hey you got a minute"!

That's horrible. She shouldn't really need to protect her cards because she was all in. The dealer just took her cards and put it in the muck. I felt that the floor staff could of done better to assist her. If they're in a casino, then the cameras should be able to see what happened from a much better angle. If she called her hand perfectly and that's what's under the muck, then she should be able to play her hand. What a horrible accident.

lol it took her way too long to realise what was going on. I would of grabbed his arm before he had a chance to muck the aces... very unfortunate tho

lol after watching it again the dealer is such a noob! must of been his first day since his supervisor was there from the start. I can't beleive the dealer gave her attitude about not having a card protector.

Imagine this happening to hellmuth or mike the mouth lol

Strong arguement for a card protecter with some weight and sharp edges.

Buzz. WRONG. You must protect your hand at all times. This is a cardinal rule that anyone in a live casino should be following. And especially at the WSOP.

I felt that the floor staff could of done better to assist her. If they're in a casino, then the cameras should be able to see what happened from a much better angle.

Not always. I supposed they could have gone to the eye in the sky and see if it saw anything, but I doubt it. Especially since they are above and most people don't look at their cards and wave them around.

What a horrible accident.
Yes, but don't feel too bad for her. She cashed and did ok for herself.

I think she was trying to pull off an act like she didn't care about her hand much (holding pocket aces).. Apparently she fooled the dealer as well.. lol.

really old video, but def her own fault. She left her cards out in the table AND who knows..maybe she actually had 22 or AK..easy to say "i had aces"...if she had aces i would think she would be a little more upset than how she reacted

Old news:

https://www.cardschat.com/forum/general-poker-13/

Cliff notes:

- Yes it was a dealer error
- Get over yourselves with the macho beating the guy up in the car park stuff, mistakes happen
- The floor people made the right decision

See the link above for a more detailed discussion.

Watch that video again. Her cards were not near the muck. I agree she needs a card protector but the dealer had to reach around her stack of chips in the middle of the table to muck another opponents cards. Then he reached back for hers. Combination of no card protector and inexperienced dealer. IMO

Ridiculous, but too bad for her......I dont think she had a very good hand anyway and just claimed aces so maybe she could get something out of it....true hustler :)

While inexperience is a possible explanation I'd say it's more likely to be a very tired dealer. Remember this is the business end of the Main Event and the WSOP has been running for a solid month before the Main Event even started. Most of these dealers have been working long days for a long time by this point and trust me it can be a challenge not to let one hand just blur into the next.

That's offered as an explanation, not an excuse, BTW.

I guess you can never trust a dealer to be perfect.

Here's one from my experience:

Circus Circus Reno 1/2 NL. After about 30 hands, I was feeling a little under the weather. I had more than doubled up my buy-in and figured I'd let the dealer color me out so he could keep the low chips at the table. So he colors me up to all $5 chips and I leave my stacks in from of me but still tucked to the edge while I gather my stuff to leave, though I am still in my chair. So he deals the next hand and deals me in. The cards land in front of me as I grab my chips to take to the cashier. I say "I'm out" and he says "Oh, you didn't say that before. Then I'll have to redeal." So a couple guys groan and I bite my lip as I walk away (really? Stick was quiet?).

So if I was still playing, why would I get rid of all my $1 chips when the blinds are $1 & $2? I think he had a brain fart and tried to make it look like my fault.

So again, never trust a dealer to be perfect.
