Hey
I've been playing poker for a little while now, and during that time i've played NLH Sit n Go's, MTT and Cash (10 & 6 handed). In addition to playing a lot live in the local area and in casinos.
I want to try and focus on one area now, invest in it, focus on it and work up a serious bankroll.
I read a lot and in general, I would say that my poker play and strategies in the various types of games are pretty sound. My biggest problem in the past has been tilt, especially in online cash. Anyway - I think I've sorted this problem out now.
So - how to make a decision. I wouldn't say I'm considerably better at any one than the other. I'm pretty solid and steady in all of them.
The massive varience in MTT's is a negative, the tight-ish strategy that is required for low to medium level SNG is a little boring (Although, I am certainly TAG, not loose in any way!), and the swings in cash games are not great for someone who use to go on tilt alot, so there are negatives in all of them.
I could just play them all, although keeping bankrolls for all three is difficult? Bankroll rules for MTT's are considerably different to those of a cash game, and so I can't see how you can work three different types of games from one bankroll - unless I played MTT's at site 1, SNG 2 site 2, cash site 3 etc etc
Anyway - if anyone has any pointers. Fire away.
Ta.
P.S - Geraint, stop stalking me.
