Man I hate playing on my last dollar. I'm what they call scared money in that situation. If anyone figures that out it makes me an easy read because I'm only playing high ranking hands until I get breathing room.

Scared, desperate money sometimes brings out the best in us, but also brings us to our most conservative level of play causing us to bypass those gut shot hands that often separate the champs from the chumps. Gotta love poker.

:)

In tournaments, you just have to play really wide if <10BB, so you don't have to problem of having only a chip and a chair.
In cash games, I would suggest do rebuy if you are low on cash.

I believe that you can only play for the money that you can afford to lose. If the amount is too large, it will lead to psychological discomfort. And the result in such cases is usually negative.

I never play with scared money never ever ever. You have to top up and make sure you have the most equity possible for that hand so you can make money and if your in a touney and your under 10BB your pushing or folding at that point using ICM concepts watching what your opponents in front of you are doing and praying that the people yet to act either have worse then you or don't catch up to you on the coinflip. That's poker baby. It's all about odds and Math and reads you have on your opponents if your in live action.:)

I try to avoid that feeling, when im running low in tournaments i try to use that in my favor,i waith a hand were the chips leaders fold and i shove agaist middle stacks so they have more to louse than me and 80% they fold,so i win some BB. In cash games i rebuy for not feel fear.

I wish I was scared more often it doesn't seem to bother me much. I should be more selective when it comes to my starting hands and how I play them. Yeah it would be a benefit to be a little scared now and then I think.

I like to play for my last money, because my game is very smart at the moment (I play my A-game).

Scared money never makes money. Doesn't only apply to poker.

If your talking about having only 1$ in your account and playing cash games, then you should just consider saving that dollar and building your bankroll back up with freerolls or deposits.

You should never be put in a situation that you are scared of going broke. You can not make optimal decisions, as you have literally no room to manuveur.

How did you manage to get yourself in this position? Do you not follow proper bankroll management?

Sounds really smart... hope that works out for you :p

Bankroll management is very important here. Another very important thing is to not play with money which you can't easily afford to loose. If you take care of these 2 aspects you will never need to worry about playing with your last money. :)

it does suck to be down to that last dollar:0) but when it comes down to that try to relax instead when you play scared you will scare yourself out of some good hands:0) so I would say try to keep that fun there when you lose the fun its time to run:0)good luck out there keep grinding:0)
