Hey Denis

My opinion has changed in the past year since I joined CC, I thought that you were all a bunch of Donks who just wanted to gamble and show how big your balls were. But then I signed up for League and got to know a few players such as yourself and now know that there are a lot of Russian players who are just trying to improve and get better at this game we all love. Sure there are a lot of crazy players, especially when a PW gets shared but I now judge you guys from your play instead of labeling you all LAG as soon as I see a Russian Flag :)

Indifferently. It does not matter what the nationality of the player, the main thing is his skills, experience and patience. Experience, patience and skills do not correlate with the nationality of the player.

I try not to generalize, every player has different styles of play and good players adjust. I will say I've noticed a better grasp with exploitative play when it comes to russian players.

I base my opinion of a player more on his personal characteristics in the game than on what country he is from. That is how I noticed both good and bad players among the Russians.

I think they are very aggressive players, they open hands that many of us would not play. Maybe this is what makes them hard to decipher

Generally, I think Russian players are strong.

The impression I get is the game means a lot to them as they see it a potential avenue to improve their lives. That argument could be made for most but I feel certain nationalities take it more seriously than others - and Russians definitely seem to take it seriously.

I think they tend to get a bad rap as many Russians are found playing, and, if many from a nation play, you are going to find some wild and even rude players. However, look beyond the surface and Russians are very capable.

Theres not much difference between any players of any nationality to be fair.

Some are good and show good sportsmanship, and some are good and show bad sportsmanship. And the same applies for the bad players.

The throwing stuff on pokerstars I just find annoying in general, regardless of who is doing it and the reason/intent behind it. Pretty sure throwing stuff in a live game would get you very quickly thrown out, so I just turn it all off to save the annoyance

Matters not where a player or players are from, but you will notice some common tendencies from specific locations and certain time of day when your at the tables. All players and their chips are welcome and it's a pleasure to see the diversity at the tables. Welcome Everyone.....

First thing I think when I see a player is from Russia is, Oh there Russian. I dont ever assume anything because of a nationality and let there play do the talking. One great think about poker is we can play people from all over the world and I have see both good and bad players from everywhere in the world.

What is your opinion about Russian players at the tables? And how are we in general for you?)));):cool:

papapoker85, hi. And why do you need to focus on nationality or place of residence at all??? Does the country determine gaming skills or table behavior? I have read all the comments and am amazed! Most people are really ready to evaluate players by the flag: someone is good, someone is bad - it doesn't matter. The important thing is that you put a rating. What for? Understand, it doesn't matter which flag a person has. His behavior depends only on his upbringing or on the lack of such upbringing. Russians are like Brazilians, Russians are good or Russians are backward. This is wrong! There should be no such judgment at all. There's a player there. And the attitude, in my opinion, may concern his game. His behavior does not depend on what nationality he is. It depends solely on his upbringing and life values.

My opinion about the Russian players is positive. For me, the most aggressive players seem to be from the UK. By the way, are there any Russian players in this forum thread? If so, please tell me why the withdrawal of funds to visa cards does not work?

I don't think about the nationality of my opponents. Players are different and their skills do not depend on their nationality.

I completely agree with you. You cannot judge a player by nation. There are people with weirdness everywhere)

I believe that the Russians, like other players from the former USSR countries, should not allow themselves to play badly. Although not all adhere to this rule.

There were quite interesting players. With whom it was difficult to compete for a place in the sun. And that's fine. Tactics and strategy are being improved in stubborn confrontations. Happy New Year!

Oh, these Russians, very often bluff and open trash hands. They are especially enraged at the beginning of the tournament.:D
This is what players of any race and nationality do. You are wrong in your judgment. Your comment might as well apply to any other...You're just exaggerating. I say this from personal experience, but I will not name the countries...it's not ethical!:marchmell:marchmell:marchmell

It is a mistake to generalize with nationality; in this case the Russian. Because each player is different from another regardless of their nationality. If you trust that you will bring many surprises. Here what matters is the skill of the player and it can be Russian, Chinese, Japanese, American, European; I don't look at nationality. Be careful, I know Russian players who are very disciplined; not bluffing and of good average.

I speak Russian myself, but I think that the question was posed to the University in a given way, there is no need to divide the game into national soil, each player is individual, each has his own approach to the game
