Maybe your right but I just dont see it happening, ive learned that about 85% of the time your hole cards really dont matter, what you represent and how you bet is everything. Besides huge pots and all-in's how you bet your cards is alot more important than your actual cards.
Catching cards and getting hot are myths, 72 can be just as good as AK if you play it right.
Beating $25NL for a decent BB/100 after 20k hands or so would be a good place to start. When will I have enough to legitamently play 50NL in your guys opinions?
Variance is a myth imo.
If you play good poker you nullify your bad beats because your free rolling with money you have won.

I hate to brag
50NL - one table, no multitabling
4/9/08 - $70.00 deposit - Total Bankroll = $70.00
4/22/08 - Current Bankroll = $1,035.11
$965.11 in less than 2 weeks, am I really having this big of an upswing and am I just a few hands away from having a huge downswing or can I expect to have profits like this all the time?

Just lost 2 buy-in's since I wrote this! haha
Down to 935
Yea its on stars - xCashin_inx
I doubt that.
Short answer? Yes. The downswing will come I don't care if you are the best poker player in the world. That is an awesome upswing, but it's only lasted two weeks. If you don't plan for it it will eat you alive.
The other problem with the way you are playing is this and it's happened time and time and time and time again is that as soon as it happens..you loose one buy in here, one there, then another... then you get AA cracked by the donkey with 2/6 (after all...th fact that donkeys do win these hands every now and then is the one and only thing keeping them around) and next thing you know you've gone on a massive tilt streak and thrown away another 5 buy ins or so.
Planning for it is a huge part of preventing and/or lessening the impact when it hits. Expecting it never to hit you is incredibly naive and dangerous.

Just 2 hands I saw watching. These were within 5-10 minutes of each other. What happens when you have a run of these? Obviously now you can probably deal with it, but what if at the start you got a few of these hands? You're not immune to running bad.hand2 said:PokerStars Game #16926523147: Hold'em No Limit ($0.25/$0.50) - 2008/04/22 - 22:04:50 (ET)

Im totally down 3 buy-ins in less than an hour! Everyone that says im stupid can make fun of me now! I deserve it, im playing way too fast and stupid.
I think ill call it a night! =)
Ill get em tommorow.
No need for us to make fun of you....... your hands speak for themselves.........
No decent player would call that last all-in but I have to remember im not playing agaisnt decent players.
/me waits eagerly for bankroll-eating downswing for lesson-teaching purposes
