1. Currently only a few hours a week.. this whole covid 19 really threw me in a loop to work from home. Once things get better. I foresee myself playing 15-20 hours a week

2. It’s the thrill of acquiring chips and it’s actually a strategy game

3. I have about $5k that is stuck at FullTilt that I built with just $50... would love to do that feat again

4. I’m new to PLO (but a better PLO8 player). Looking for ways to improve my PLO cash and mtt skills. I’m not seeing any plo8 games anymore

1. On average, per week, zero hours because I don't have a bankroll yet :D I am newer to poker and I've only played small homegames (without money), poker video games and one freeroll event. However, I am learning a lot and I still play/study a lot of poker in my free time.
2. I literally got out of bed one morning and thought, "huh, I bet I could be good at poker." Seriously, that is really how I started. Psychology comes natural to me and has always been a topic I enjoyed; it was just recently I wondered how this would serve me in the realm of poker.
3. Short-term, I was planning on going to a casino for my first "big live poker experience" but then the pandemic hit. When it becomes safer and casinos fully re-open again (maybe Spring of 2021 at this rate since the covid second wave predicted to hit in the fall of 2020), then I plan on going. For the time being, I can just keep learning, practicing and improving my poker game.
4. When I joined cardschat, I actually did not know about the freerolls. I joined because I wanted to get better at poker and I wanted a poker community I could interact with in the forums. I googled various poker forum sites online and cardschat looked like one that I liked, so I created an account and here I am ;)

1. 0-4 unless you include free rolls than 5+
2. I like playing poker for the thrill of the game and how intense it can become the emotions attached to it.
3. I have no expectations from it other than too enjoy myself I don't expect too win a WSOP or anything like that.
4. A good community to learn from, the 30 day course may help me with that, as I read some post here and still need to learn some of the terminology. i watched the first video of course so far and i did not know the seats on the table were named I only knew of small and big blind..

1. How much hours of real money poker do you play a week?
Since quarantine started I've been playing 15-20 hours of online poker per week. I'm a college student so normally during the semester I'll play maybe 2-4 hours per week, typically live. I think in the future I'll be playing a lot more volume online while still sprinkling in some live.
2. Why do you think you like playing poker?
I think I'm drawn to the math side of things and I love playing the odds. I've always been a math person and the idea that poker results are generated mostly from luck (I mean individual results like the outcome of 1 hand, not long-term success) is really appealing to me for whatever reason.
3. What do you aspire to achieve from playing poker?
I just want to get better at something I enjoy doing and it wouldn't hurt to make some money on the side, as I could always use more money.
4. What do you hope to find on Cardschat?
I join these types of forums to gain outside perspectives on all things poker and life related, and I like the community feeling that you get after spending a long time with the same forum community. I think there's loads of people on here that I can learn valuable lessons from and gain some new insight into life!

1) I don’t have extra money to play poker with. Therefore, 0 hours, not counting the freerolls.
2) I am a gambling person by nature.
3) To achieve which is unlikely to work. But once again check my luck, and maybe somehow increase (upgrade) it. :D
4) Honestly - for now it's only here for the opportunity to grab some money in freerolls. But time will tell.

How much hours of real money poker do you play a week?

Probably around 5-6 hours a week.

2. Why do you think you like playing poker?

I like the mind games about it. It is not just luck as some people say.

3. What do you aspire to achieve from playing poker?

I just play for fun and probably longterm some winnings. But at now I play micro stakes. So let's see what the future brings.

4. What do you hope to find on Cardschat?

Some tips for new players. Already read a lot here. Like playing less hands but that ones more aggressiv. Also ofc the freerolls are a lot of fun.

1. I only play when I'm in a focussed mindset. It varies between 3-5 hours a week

2. I enjoy the depth and being able to always learn new things in the game.

3. One day when I grow proficient in the game I would like to earn a few pounds on the side.

4. A community of nut & bolts spikes and learn from the advice and wisdom of other players.

1. For now, a few hours. I destroyed my bankroll, it wasn't much, but I don't advise anyone to do what I did.
2. I like the feeling of reaching the final tables.
3. Be able to win a big tournament.
4. Knowledge and discipline not to break the bank anymore.
