Are the days of playing tight and relative to your position over? Are the days of raising preflop with any 2 and hoping your opponent missed the flop becoming more relevant? What happened to getting your chips in good with good hands? Now you get your chips in and villian sucks out on you because he doesn't know when to fold? It feels like the game of poker has evolved into this hyper aggressive game where people pray that you don't hit the flop and bluff to take it down. Is tight poker still winning poker? What do you guys think? If poker is becoming more aggressive what do you think it'll be like a couple years down the road? Love to hear the communities thoughts

Of course poker changes with time. And players must change their game too, if they do not want to lose their money. Poker is a game that you can learn all your life. And that's fine.:)

poker has always been and will be a strategy game, although in many cases the attack is the best defense in others to act passive mamera will be that because much aggressiveness of the villain will end up damaging the same

I think the general awareness and skill has gone up live and online. In 2012, I was working as a poker dealer at a casino in South Florida and the players were weak degenerates. They played poker for hours, everyday and were still action junkies, no discipline.

Whereas now, I see more at least knowledgeable players live and online is super tight. Then again, I play micro online and 1/2 live. Maybe in higher stakes, players are more aggressive....

Poker is not a tight game, it is like a battle
You must dare if you want to have results.

I would have to say that online the play is about neck and neck between then and now.. Live play has gotten a lot worse.. I've suffered so many beats from any two cards making a winning hand at several different casinos.. I think ever since Durr the quality of live play has really gotten crappy..
