Do you have to pay taxes for poker winnings? I live in finland and I'm not sure should I inform tax office. Is it different for live poker and online poker?

If the withdrawal amounts are small, then there is no sense in twitching. Another thing is large drifts, there may be problems with the tax service.

In Greece we pay tax day by day. If one day we have winnings over 100 euros, we pay 10% tax about the amount which is more than 100 euros. For example if our winnings are 150 euros, we will pay 5 euros. (10%×(150-100)). And if one day we have winnings over 500 euros, we have to pay 25% about the amount which is more than 500 euros.

The truth is that I don't know if I should pay or not. Here in Argentina I understand that you should not pay to win if you play online. I do not know if you must pay playing live, in casinos or others.

It is different for every country (even between different countries in EU) so you should check your local laws. Here in Bulgaria income from gambling (which includes everything including lottery, bingo, casino, betting and poker) is not taxed.

You raised a good question. I would be interested in the situation with taxes on poker winnings in different countries.
In Kazakhstan, this is not yet.

If you drop a lot of money in your account - it is certain that the tax authorities will come after you.
