From wiki a definition:

The philosophical explanation of karma can differ slightly between traditions, but the general concept is basically the same. Through the law of karma, the effects of all deeds actively create past, present and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to them and others.

How does this relate to Poker? Am I talking about bad beats? Maybe when you get drawn out on, it just goes into a savings account where the luck piles up only someday to repay you. Possibly, but in this instance I'm talking about one specific case.

In 2002 a state AG decided that families were threatened by online poker. His only recourse was to go after the ways that people fund their accounts. Credit cards, neteller and paypal. He then managed to force Citigroup to pay $400,000 for gambling treatment services and another $100,000 to the state where this AG was based. Later on he went after PayPal and forced them to fork out $200,000.

“Americans now waste $4 billion a year on this pernicious form of gambling,” he claims,
“With this agreement, we will cut off an unlimited line of credit that was a jackpot for illegal offshore casinos.” and that " Such gamblers can drive themselves deep into debt and bankrupt their families"

So he feels gambling is pretty much out to destroy the classic happy family with 2.5 kids, a dog and a white picket fence. We need more people like this in government ! I mean he's only out to 'protect' my happy family right? or is he..

A couple years later, in 2006 he underpaid drastically for several flights in a private jet owned by a man who was lobbying for out of state casinos to be allowed in his state.

"has basically accepted and not reported a donation of as much as $38,000 from somebody who is currently lobbying to allow an out-of-state Indian tribe to build more casinos in..."

Well he got what was coming to him, Eliot Spitzer, was forced to resign as the Governor of the state of NY after being caught spending $1000 an hour on a prostitute. Apparently dinner, a movie and "dessert" was costing him somewhere in the area of $4,500.

Glad the Karma finally caught up with you.
