Acting in a timely manner would increase the enjoyment of play for all. I understand when a difficult decision is at hand that it may take additional thought to act. When taking a personal break sitting out is considerate too all. Also commenting when it is your turn to act is akin to "Bogarting". All the best!
What are your thoughts on players who take a long time to act? Do you think it is bad etiquette?
It's definitely bad poker etiquette to take time unnecessarily. There are so many easy decisions in poker that take absolutely no time to make and you don't give any information away by making quick folds.
Well you have to consider that some players analyze their opponents and based on that make their decisions which consumes time.
Bad etiquette in my opinion only apllies to bad players who take to much time.
Anyway bad etiquette or not we all have the right to use the time bank for whatever reason we want.
When you start losing at poker, you begin to understand what poker is and why you have been winning.
