I'm still on break and no end in sight. I only play freerolls and promos.

I used to be Chrome on pokerstars but I haven't raked a hand since the merge. Plus the new MTT schedule is not good for me.

Take a break to refresh your mind, review your dreams and then return in full force to what make you happy ;)

This is splitting hairs but it works for me.

I strive to play the perfect game. I do not play for money. The better I play and the fewer mistakes I make the better I feel about myself and my game. This way when the donk lucks outs. I still feel good because I played right.

Poker is like every other game, it's all based on odds. Poker though gives you the ability to only play when the odds AND situations are in your favor.

With proper bankroll management you will end up on top with correct play. Just focus on perfect play. You will find that the money will follow your satisfaction in your play.

Sounds good, but when you don't win for a long time it's hard to avoid doubts about what perfect play is. Someone trusts in his "perfect" play and keeps making the same mistakes until he runs out of bankroll. Others start changing their strategy and make new and often even worse mistakes.

Playing 'poker' and 'playing poker for the grind' all need the same key ingredient to be successful; PATIENCE, if you can master the 'patience plan' for game and career, you WILL ultimately win out. (I must believe!)

Why do you think the field is improving at lightening speed? The games I've been playing sure don't support that conclusion. Most lower stakes players are pretty typical, and mostly pretty bad.

ABC poker rules still apply post-flop, but not pre-flop. I've given up playing tournaments tight - can't win at the lower stakes doing that since there are just way too many loose players. They're not getting better. But when you have 3 or 4 players in every hand, the best starting hand is not likely to be the winning hand.

90% of the hands that I lose are pure (bad) luck. When the money goes in the middle I usually have the best hand (often 70% to 90% favorite) and then the one card that the other guy was hoping for makes an appearance.

Go watch the guys that are streaming on twitch and i am telling you, you will learn a lot from those guys and ull start kicking ass`s and taking names on the tables u play, and ull start feeling good about your play and poker in general, with that confidence back you will see that it was your game at this point that sucked and why u want to quit playing poker, this game is hard to master, u have to play for years and years to be able to say "yes i am a decent poker player" so yeah, go on twitch and start learning poekr :D

Before I forget, I want you to know that I just went through 3 week that I had no interest in anything. I could not get myself to play any poker at all, or anything else for that matter, but it was a good rest, and when I did start back my mine was empty of crap, and things are better. You know how I come out of that? I have this lady who comes to visit me once a week to help me with things I can't do. So we sit down and had a long talk. She listened while I spit it all out. She said these few words.that goes a long with my sighnture. "Believe you can and you can" and believe me it was gone after she left. GL to you

You need to take a break. To play in freerolls. Then return to the game for money.

When you feel like this, you should stop for a while, or you should go back to what brought you to play Poker, find again what you liked, you could also change poker game, for example, just play a type of game that you do not Play, in my case would be Pot-limit Holdem. Take three or four days free of Poker, go out to play some sport, or simply, go to play Poker in a casino !!! :)

My poker dreams are slowly fading away…

From my point of view; I think the field is getting harder to beat every day.

The sites promotions are not as good as what they used to be.

I lost most of my motivation for grinding. Right now I'm taking a break from the grind.

I don't know what to do to regain my motivation.

Maybe there are books or videos that could address that subject.

Any suggestions?

Think that some live poker games with your friends can help to return your motivation babackThis games is always fun and interesting, but dont play on real money with your friends.

The main thing - not to give up. If the fail - train. If no luck - train. If it is bad - practice. Don't give up.
