Honestly, according to me the age doesn't matter. What does matter is the intelligence, aptitude and skills that can be learned. Some learn fast, others learn slower.

The best moment for deciding to be a poker pro?
That would depend on a couple of things: can you beat the needed limit consistently? Do you have the discipline to play enough time and study to stay on top of the game? Do you love the game enough to stay playing when it becomes a job instead of a hobby?

That's the questions you should ask yourself, not if you have the right age...

Hard to argue in US with the legal age at 21, phil ivey says he got a fake ID at age 16 and started playing at his local casino...

The age at which you reach your best poker. I've seen some pretty good 13 year olds and a deadly 71 year old!!!! :)

I am in my early thirties and have became a poker fan within the past year. I am still working on becoming a skilled poker player. I think that if you have a willingness to take the effort to become a skilled poker player that at any age would be the ideal time to begin a poker player career.

it's good to play poker for a child to catch up when you become experienced major deal for you and to cope with the pressure

As long as you are willing to study and improve rather than gamble and opine you can start playing at any age and improve. If you want to be a "professional" i.e. drop everything and make poker your main source of income I would say just like any other profession you need to start before you are 25. That's not to say you can't become a professional after 25 it's just much harder.

For online poker ideal age 20-35 years old, because it is very difficult to spend long hours sitting at a computer, if you're over 40 years..But there are no barriers in offline poker, you can play at any age.

I don't think age really has anything to do with it.

In my opinion not old, of course be of legal age to gamble real money in clubs and sites, but I think after 18 years is the minimum age if you have a good study of the game techniques and get it enjoy so soon you can become a great professional player, and in the world several examples of these types of player who started early to be professional in poker.

I believe that at any age you can start a poker career. Main qualities: desire, hard work and time to play poker.

Age is irrelevant but desire is the key. When you feel that you have enough knowledge under your belt and the will to play.

I think it depends on the person , there are people who strive to be professional early but do not have enough mind to withstand the "pressure" if you know what I mean . And there are people who already have it easier . So I think it depends on the person .

I don't think its age, its maturity. bankroll management and dealing with variance are generally easier for more 'mature' players.

When you can count to King high, you're old enough.

I think that being aged 18-35 is best, especially for online poker. You need to be at an age where you can constantly learn new things, improve and adapt to the evolving game. You also need a quick reaction time and the ability to play several tables at once. I think that a lot of old players aged 60+ don't really improve their game and they kind of fall behind the competition. It's easier for younger players to keep up with the constantly evolving competitive environment.
