When I was learning to play poker, I noticed that poker rules are like life rules.I began to look at many things in life from the point of view of probability theory. for example, if girls betrayed you 2-3 times, you start looking at the female sex like 7-2 offsuited. Would you be all in with 2-7 next time? The bankroll - you can’t visit most expensive restaurants every day having little money, or bluff - sometimes I lie to benefit, though now I can say it wasn’t lying - it was bluff :d etc... have you also noticed that?? What is your 2-7o in your life?

The main lesson for me is this one: poker is a game, and you stop anytime you want.
Life is real, it doesn't stop, and luck is not something you wait, is something you conquer.

Yes poker has something common with our real life.
Poker is a game of decision making and adjusting decisions with changing situation. Same is true in real life. we need to make decisions every here and there. We also need to adjust them with changing surroundings.
In poker we need a good hole cards to start with. Similarly, In real life we need some good resources to start with. Sometimes we fail to connect with flop and can't use them. In real life sometimes we fail to utilize our resources.

Interesting comparison! I think that any game invented by people repeats what they have taken from life. Humanity is not yet so well developed to come up with something that they have no idea about! We in everything "repeat" what it teaches a life ! Nothing new!
My 2-7 - a lot of them! These are the mistakes in life that recur ...

I view poker and life to be quite similiar because both require good decision making and with bad decisions you suffer from it's consequences. I like to look at the theory of games and it's ideas on making the best way to split any specific problem into ways that equal out its benefit for everyone

I also noticed that some lessons from poker are applicable to life. In poker you try to calculate as many possible scenarios in certain situation as you can and react in the best possible way. In life we take decisions every day but big part of the time we take this decisions without too much thinking or analyzing. For me personally after i started to play poker more regularly i also started to better analyze everyday situations which is something good.

I think poker is pretty similar to our life cause you have to think a lot and try to take advantage of the oportunities we get on the table. We have to know when we have to retired or know when a decision is gonna take us for a bad place that we dont want to get there. Basically poker I guess is a sport of decisions and life is like this, we have to know the difference between good decisions and bad decisions.
