It is a good way but to achieve it but in the medium and long term since one has to dedicate a lot of time to the game and to the study to achieve good results and start winning

No I don't believe so. If you study and put in the time to improve then possibly. Otherwise I'd say no.

Is poker a good way to make money ???? Well, I've made a small fortune playing poker...the problem is that I started with a LARGE fortune !!! LOL, old Vegas joke.

The reality is that only a very small percent of players will win any significant amounts of money. The casual player will win on occasion, but will lose far more often. My advice is to play for fun or leisure...keep your day job.

Don't be like the guy who ran out of money, so he bet his wife...went all in and lost !! Didn't he know that 7,2 offsuit was not a great hand ??? LOL

That's quite a hefty income you are getting from Poker! I actually lose a lot but think that's because it's an addiction for me so lose a lot playing when exhausted and keep going and possibly bad game selection but still think got some game. Just hit top 5/152 :joyman:n a satty into $55 which went well and was defo a good result but still need to make some in the target tourney to be profitable. What sort of % field sizes do you play? I think well over 95% of my tourneys are way over a 1,000 entrants and also need to mix it up with smaller fields as think always playing big fields means fewer final tables. What would you say your average buy in is?

I see the £ sign, another UK player :D? Not enough of us at the tables nowadays!

So when i'm playing online, its either Sit and goes of 9-18 people, or large tourney's with 1000+ players. Then when I play Live, it's at the pub, which is usually around 30 players or so. Buy in's range from £10-£40 but people rebuy so 1st place can be substantial.

If I were to rely on poker for money I would go hungry most of the time. I think it's a good form of entertainment, but it's not a way to make money, save for some real pros.

I've played online and in live poker games and I prefer in person games the most. As far as making money, I've made more money playing live game but unfortunately I play way more online tournaments.

If you enter poker looking for money, be very careful, you could go wrong. enter for wanting to play and if you are good the rewards will come.
But do not go in thinking that you will get a lot of money.

If we approach this as a job, then I think yes. Constant work on yourself and on the game.
