What are the odds of a player drawing pocket aces two hands in a row? Woman sitting next to me last night did so.

Chance of course there is. 1 of 48,841. Think, really it or not?

  1. Odds of pocket aces once is 0.45%. Twice in a row would be 0.0045x0.0045=0.00002025 or 1 in 49382 times.

Welcome to our community.
Interesting question. In my opinion, the odds are negligible, but nevertheless this probability remains.

Never had pocket aces twice in a row but I had pocket Kings twice in a row, and played them both against the same opponent. Guy didn't know what hit him :)

I think too many are overthinking this

If the odds of getting pocket aces is 1 in 121 and I get pocket aces then the cards are all replaced for the next deal and I get another chance of 1 in 121.

Why multiply?

Multiply because you want it to happen twice in a row. If you want pocket aces say twice in one tournament at any given time then you would not multiply, it would be as you said.

I've gotten AA back to back before a few years back. Online though. I didn't know what was going on I got like 6 premium hands 6 hands in a row. I wish this would happen more often.

Twice in a row would give some liberty to start two threads on how they got cracked and how they never win with them.
