You need to have rest and to feel ok to play and enjoy the game. Exercises like the daily exercises you do are enough.

If I know I'm going to be sitting for 5-6 hours playing, I always to some stretching to keep myself loose. Especially my legs. I get cramps in my legs when I sit for a long time and then it distracts me. Doing 10-15 of stretching before hand prevents that. That way I can stay focused. But that's just me.

I see on TV that many of the younger pros stay in shape....they all say it improves their game by keeping their mind sharp and being able to focus longer. That does make sense. Maybe that is the reason that many of the TV final tables at many tournaments have 6 players all in their 20s....and yes I remember that there were two seniors in the November 9...but that is a rarity; not the norm.

I believe that physical exercises help and especially for those who will play a live tournament

Exercises makes your body resistant for long tournaments and also meditation helps a lot, both are good methods to fight stress, that way you can play your poker tournaments with a clear mind ;)

I think yes, we teach kep our emotions on a leash, and we are better than in the past.
