Hi everyone. First of all I ask the administrators that if this post does not correspond to this section they will locate it where it corresponds. While the figure of the "perfect loser" is an analysis of an old roulette player whose nickname was Manrique, this question reminds me a lot of two things: the book "The player" by Fedor Dostoievsky, but also the typical poker player ( remember that I play freerolls and sits on microlimits) that has a stroke of luck in a given tournament going there all hands and gets chipleader of the tournament or table but can not with its maniac nature and continues to do so until it ends up losing everything.
For you, is Manrique's concept comparable to maniac poker players, who, in my very modest way of seeing, are potential compulsive gamblers?
I apologize for the length of this publication and as always I appreciate your patience and containment for me, just a rookie with three months of poker on his back.
Best regards from Buenos Aires.

THE PERFECT LOSER (P.L.)

What is the Perfect Loser ?, a fictional figure that allows for the absurd to become a Perfect Winner (actually approach that)

How does a Perfect Loser behave, that is, someone who loses ALWAYS?

1st Question:

What is the only thing that surely causes someone to lose all their sessions?

Hint: It is considered that the casino never closes

Answer: Stay until you lose ...

Obvious conclusion, you have to leave when you win.

2nd question:

When to leave, how do I know that if I win I will not continue to win?

Answer: Every bad streak starts with a negative ball.

This is the first signal sometimes enough to go for example if we play simple chance with uniform signing, if our goal is to win a chip (or ten, it is the same for that matter) we just win two if we lose the next one we go with the goal accomplished and we cut off the possibility of a bad streak.

As it is necessary to limit the losses and not the gains, I do not recommend leaving as soon as the objective has been reached but if it is possible to limit the following positions to the maximum and at the first negative signal stop.

It is clear then that the Perfect Loser does not know what to do when he wins.

3rd Question:

What does the Perfect Loser do when he loses?

Answer: Play more and more and more and more and more ...

If you are in a well, all you have to do is keep digging.

If we take a shortcut we can already see that a recovery strategy should be slow, especially since it allows us not to enter despair and even reflect on whether the day to recover is not tomorrow.

Until now:

The Perfect Loser when he wins, stays until he loses everything.

The Perfect Loser when he loses more and more bets, that is, he loses more and more, until he runs out of money or commits suicide.

4th question:

What happens if in that bet more and more wins again, that is, it recovers and sets itself up?

Answer: If you recover, you stay until you return to step 1

Another question:

What does the Perfect Loser play?

Answer: The P.L. seeks to accelerate the times and the time he plays, so he plays as hard as possible.

Do you know why? Because he wants to stop suffering, he can't take it anymore.

Question: Is P.L is a fool?

Only an intelligent person can lose a lot in the casino

Controversial law, if any, a fool generally does not have much money, and when he has it he does not lose it easily, he is sullen and distrustful.

Look at the big losers and you will usually see very capable people in other areas, big businessmen, professionals, merchants. Intelligent people.

Yes, intelligent people following stupid behaviors.

And I'm not talking about game addicts, at least not in its terminal phase.

The P.L. in the background believes that he cannot win and there is a lot of social pressure for it.

Anyone can say that he is an executive of a tobacco multinational and will look at him with admiration (when it is proven that tobacco kills)
It is difficult not to be disapproved when it is said that one lives from the game although it is legal, although it is an act of the deepest justice and when it does not hurt anyone.

The P.L. is an intelligent person, who morally debates and has a terrible internal struggle, wants to win but would not endure continuously because his head is full of preconceptions and social conventions.

The P.L. feels good as soon as he starts playing because adrenalinda produces well-being but after a while it becomes torture and anguish begins.

We complete the P.L. phase 1

Summarizing:
The Perfect Loser phase 1

1.- When he wins he plays until he loses

2.- When he loses, he plays more (because he can't stand the pressure of playing, if he loses because he is intelligent and knows what it costs to earn money, if he wins because it is difficult to sustain this way of life socially. He wants to lose and end this suffering , this internal struggle).

3.- If he recovers, he stays until he returns to step 1 (the pressure continues, the internal struggle now fused by adrenaline)

The Perfect Loser is an intelligent, generally successful person outside the casino who morally debates between winning, that he would like, but that moral rules condemn, and lose that moral rules also condemn.

THE PERFECT LOSER PHASE II

As the Perfect Loser is an intelligent person, he ends up realizing that his gameplay is stupid ...

What does he do then?

P.L. when he gets tired of losing the tun, tun becomes systematic.

But how do you choose the systems?

Answer: Resort to other systems. Pseudo system scientists who say for example that a preogression is enough to win.

How do you choose then in so many systems?

Choose according to your criteria, the systems that present the most logic.

Those who never say in 37 balls cease to have a triple repetition, or in a certain section if I make a progression until winning I will always win beyond the periods of high exposure.

Everything that can happen will happen ...

What happens then with the P.L.?

The Perfect Loser "buys" systems based on the "logic" that what I bet is going to come out just just have patience and nerves of steel ...

It clings to this and closes all other criteria, especially since these systems are winners most of the time, and take you to the great system of seeing your winnings of days or weeks in a single game session dilute.

Of course, the Perfect Loser comes from playing without behavior and then believes that his behavior failed.

Of course, his behavior failed, since he is intelligent, he clings to a method that prevents him from deviating.

How does this go on then?

P.L. Now he is more distrustful, he takes more time and dedication to analyze systems and strategies, he reads and researches more and more ... he is definitely on the right track ... he is surely starting to stop being the Perfect Loser.

THE PERFECT LOSER PHASE III

P.L. in phase 3, he becomes distrustful, unbelievable wanders through different systems becomes less excited and soon leaves them especially when the first loss is found.

Although they have a system as pointers of Manrique, keep wandering around waiting for the miracle.

As you will see the casinos are full of P.L. in its three phases.

Manrique

A perfect looser is the most precious person in the world, why?
Because everybody know that he/she is always wrong.
Do you want to be a millionaire fast ?
Take the perfect looser to a stock exchange
and ask him which stocks are going to rise,
then bet exactly opposite.
As the loosers are always wrong you are ALWAYS right .
Bingo!

Although unable to retain the original question throughout the duration of the post, you deserve eternal thank-you's for inspiring an upward-rolling-stopvalve-winlimit next and future casino visits. :date::love:
