Omaha tournaments are contradictory because Omaha is a draw equity game...and the structure is an MTT where you get only 1 stack to run your equity with. In Omaha cash you can just reload while using BRM even if you lose you just need to play more hands.

Omaha MTTs have massive variance and Omaha cash you can lose up to 6-7 stacks especially Cap Omaha and not have done anything wrong.

Omaha Cash can either be played extremely loose nut strong limping all hands and betting only the nuts or the more approved and liked way is to play tight as a nit nuts or nothing pre, flop,turn and of course river only.

Check out Phil Galfond on the forum he is an Omaha specialist so is Ryan Laplante IMO.

I am sure it depends on the skills and experience of the player. If the player is a beginner, has little experience and scanty skills, then Omaha is a lottery. If the player is experienced, has enough experience and skills, then Omaha is an option for profit.

It is tough to do a cold stone bluff in Omaha. Easier in NL
Also variance is just insane and I don’t like playing tournament Omaha
At least cash games can load up if felted by bad beat.
I find lower limits is more passive game.
In the higher limits than are more pot size bets.

The variance in Omaha is huge. It takes a lot of learning and many years of play to defeat her.

Omaha is more dispersion than Holdem. I have never played it, but watched some videos. A lot of outs isnt clear where, this game is more fun than holdem.

The fat that every one have 5 cards in his hand make omania a game for been played very tigth,ex,you have AAKK, ill never shove pre flop because any one can make 2 pairs,so the probavilities that we use in holdem to know how manny combos beat us in turn or river in omania are 2.5 times biguer just because the villain have 5 cards to use

Its a lot of fun, but in my opinion there are just too many possibilities and outs. Even if you have the nuts by the flop; there are many ways your hand will not be that good by the river.

So, even if I love the chaos that is Omaha, I'm going to say that its mostly lotto based

Omaha is contrary to a lottery, it is far less lottery than holdem, where you can depend on luck far more.
Omaha is for more advanced players because it demands more calculation.
I do not know about pros, but there are experienced players who play Omaha only.
You sure could earn more on Omaha newbie than on a holdem newbie where the newbie can depend on his luck much more than he can in Omaha.
