I prefer NL Hold'em. I do love Omaha. And I am actually quite good at it. But there is much more of a a gambling element to Omaha, which makes it harder to win at, even if you are quite good at it. So while I like to play Omaha from time to time, I play it more for fun and count more on my NL Hold'em results for building my bankroll.

There are more bluffs in omaha I think. That’s why I think it takes more money to play that game. It's hard to believe that someone can be better than me .

The best thing about Omaha is that you get a bunch of Hold'em players that think it's the same game with just a couple of extra hole cards.

I prefer Holdem because it is easier to play, as well as being more entertaining. I play Omaha a few times, but it doesn't entertain me like Holdem does. It must be because I started playing Holdem long before Omaha, which is why I am more used to Holdem. I don't totally rule out Omaha because I get to play it once in a while just for fun.

Hold'em, I think with omaha your using up to many cards in the deck to allow for intangible hands. With Omaha you basically have to have a straight, flush, fullhouse or better depending on the board to make a winning hand. A pair, two pair, trips are usually no good.

When I consider whether I am looking for a game of Ohama or Hold'em, it only comes down to one factor: the number of players. Obviously, due to the amount of whole cards in Omaha, (4), two more then Hold'em, not as many players are able to partake. Since I enjoy playing both, it matters not whether we play one or the other, however, when less players are available, Omaha is just as enjoyable as Hold'em.

Omaha8 is my preferred poker for our weekly home game, lots of betting and bluffing makes for big pots. Rarely had a pot last night under a hundred dollars, alot were 2 or 3 hundo. Now that's fun!
