I have played both Holdem and Omaha. I am much more familiar with Holdem, so I will play games with a Micro cash buy-in up to $5. As for Omaha, I am still getting used to it so will only play free rolls or very, very cheap buy-ins.
I like both. There are, obviously, many Holdem tournaments everywhere and only a few Omaha tournaments.I would prefer more Omaha tournaments just to play something different and it would be great if CardsChat offered one or two of these at pokerstars or some other online poker room.
I never used to play or liked Omaha, but now I appreciate the subtlty of it. You have to think all the time, evaluating your four cards preflop and after the flop goes down.
I prefer Omaha, but most of my games is Hold'em. Just because the player pools there are so much larger and it is quite possible to earn money in Hold'em.
I love Holdem but when I can and I'm getting bored I'm going to dabble in Omaha, it won't be that difficult if you already have a little knowledge of poker.
