Do you think it will happens? Totally ridiculous. State is making millions from the lottery (like that isnt gambling). There are 2 major things blocking this-economics and somme pwerful government source that just wont let it go through. I see i hope it my lifetime, not getting any younger.
The choice of poker rooms we are regulated to are pathetic.

Be lucky you aren't in Alaska...no poker rooms at all. I can only play live when I travel to somewhere that has a decent poker room. I grew up in Newfane, NY, near Niagara Falls. When I visit family in the summer, I play at the Seneca Niagara Casino (poker only). This is really the only time I get to play live, which sucks.

However, in Alaska, home games are legal, as long as the host isn't making a profit...other than what he may win during the game. Then it becomes a "business" and that's illegal.

If you are talking online poker, I think we have a long ways to go before we see it regulated in the USA. It'd be nice. I play at ignition and enjoy it. They accept players from Alaska; not sure about NY though.
