Name your Favourite non premium hole cards..

Hi All,

as you get deeper in tourneys and come up against better players in most cases, generally we all as a rule need to be able to switch gears and look at our opening hand ranges when called upon.

Do you therefore have a particular (non premium) starting hole card pairing that seems to work for you, maybe you have a story behind that like the 10 2 that Doyle Brunson once sported..if so - i would be interested to know your story..

I have had a fair bit of success over the years with 45 of clubs just to kick off with but again this does not have to be suited...

It's been a while since I even tried to play with such hands. It was a long time when I was 48 when I played this hand that I was the winning hand most of the time. There was a lot of luck involved and when I started reading a little about poker I realized that luck shouldn't be relied on. It is part of the game but it is not where it only matters. It can now also happen that I play 48 but that depends entirely on the circumstances.

When I first started playing poker I always like to play Q9 (regardless of being suited or not), I always had good fortune with this hand, not anymore in recent days, but yeah, Q9 always had me smiling because I was about to pwn some noobs out of their change

I like small pocket pairs because they are easy to play. If I don't hit a set on the flop then I just fold to any bet.

Fortunately, I do not have a favorite junk.
