I do listen to music when I play at times. I have over a 100 songs I like downloaded to Spotify and use this as my music source. I hit random play and off I go to playing poker when I know it will be a long tournament -- in hopes I will last long anyways LOL
I only started recently and am still unsure whether i can stand the distraction of music or not ^^ I usually turn it off, but it somehow feels better to play with music on when i am in something like a full ring tournament
I usually kisten music that enhances my concentration. Nothing with lyrics, usually jazz. On rare occasions I put some music with lyrics. I think the most important thing to be successful in poker is concentration and the ability to be attentive to the information that is given to us at the table.
Before I start to study, I liked to play listen to some rock or something, but when I study I have to concentrate a lot.
I cant study listen to the music because I give my atention to the music and forget what I have to learn.
I do like playing with music, the only thing not to distract me is to listen to the Spotify playlist so I am not distracting myself from changing songs
I use an App called Endel to generate ambient music based on various factors, such as my heart rate, the time of day, and the weather. I put it on in the background and let it do its thing. I get distracted if I put on anything more active.
I do very seldomly. More often than not I put a tv show on to pay attention to instead. Stops me from trying to play crap cards out of boredom.
I never listen to music when playing. I predicate my game on being able to read other players. Listening to other players is a big part of this. So if I were to listen to music it would take away an important aspect of my reading ability.
I used to listen to music but then I only found myself trying to change it to a song I want to listen to instead of focusing on the cards. Plus when you can't hear what is going on, that can be a problem.
