Is anyone else feeling the same way, with all the cash out problems, bad plays on top of bad plays, this is not just poker, I know there are ups and downs, but bad play after bad play and then they get rewarded, its no longer of interest for me to play online. I haven't posted here in awhile and I think I am going to move on to live poker, at least then I can see the person that makes that bad play instead of wasting my time and money.
well i dont mean to be blunt, but the bad plays are you're fault, and they are fixable. And if you move on to live poker, the potential for bad plays will still be there. I can understand cash out problems, very annoying.
I would also assume that the people that make the effort to go to a casino to play in a live poker tournament would be better, and therefore the tourneys might be harder to win.
Best of luck to you in the live tourneys though

I thinbk that the poker rooms want their money back thats why the river hurst us so bad. I guess we should learn how to fold a good hand if we are not sure of winning.

I don't know if it's just me or the online poker environment, but I too have experienced waning interest, and as a result I seem to play worse. I guess I need to scale back or take a break altogether because I'm a little bored with grinding out long poker tourneys. Today will likely be my last effort at a CC free-roll until at least the end of June.

well its frustrating some times but it also has fun if played with patients..

Ummm.... would that be mental patients if you're playing a typical 2nl game :D ???? Of course, if you meant patience, well, yeah, that's important, too......

i think its unavoidable to lose interest when you're based in the US...i have yet to find a software that comes even remotely close to as enjoyable as stars or tilt, and overall the games are just too small....if the big sites were still around i think theres no doubt that the interest would b just as great as it was if not better...these days its just a miserable thing really

Why does PokerStars love this ^ (pretty sure there's no rake paid on rebuys made after initial buyin). Wouldn't this actually contradict what many might say/think... because I mean if they're rebuying 10times then the game will last longer (deeper stacks) which would mean the players won't be opening up/starting more tourneys which would equal 'less rake' for Pokerstars???

Losing interest? Nothing a deep run in a tourney won't take care of. I think you just need a huge tourney cash for a renewed interest in the game.

Opposite problem here, I miss online poker (at least pre-Black Friday poker). Now the guys who play are grinders and live cash games at casinos are boring, slow and sometimes depressing.

Not opposite at all, really, iirc. I think the initial posts were about losing initerest in online poker in its current state. BF caused many people to lose interst, and more fall victim all the time. Talking about US-based players obv. Few sites to choose from, difficult deposits, lengthy withdrawl process, reg-infested games, shrinking pool of fish, not alot to be excited about if you're based in the US.

Now, if we could somehow go back to pre-BF state, then yeah, tons and tons of people miss that. No real end in site for difficulties faced by US players, though, just means more and more players give-up on online poker every day.

I have played very little poker since Black Friday. Full Tilt and Pokerstars had by far the best software and game selection IMO. I've tried to get into Merge and Cake, but I just can't.

Ive learned to take bad beats in the same way lady luck swings by from time to time. It wasnt always that way but i finally learned to quit talking to the dog, kicking the chair and hearing the wife say "dont play then".

As your foe runner runners his flush, just stare at your cowboys with the flopped king and type "nh" and "gg". If you take time to see how often you actually benifit from lady luck and receive that much needed card on the turn and or river it all evens out in the end.

Happy playing!

I think that you lose interest in online poker I think humbly from my place, is that sometimes you lose that feeling that you see in an offline casino table, see the opponent, that management of having the dealer see the movements to Give, real laughter, the atmosphere is very different, but more than anything for that, but I love playing poker both online and outside, maybe sometimes I leave a few days when I lack that interest and then I return again

maybe your just playing too much online and maybe you need some rest and after the rest you might just feel a lot better to play poker online again.

I have lost thread too, probably have changed in poker. already as month I don't play for money, in a year has lowered $2000. I look for mistakes and I restore sincere forces. maybe I will even refuse this entertainment...

I have not lost interest in online poker but I want to take it one step farther , I mean to learn more and expand/enlarge my bankroll to play some tournaments/cash games I want , or else I'm afraid I'm gonna suffer the same boredom-poker depression someday soon :(
