How do you identify that you should stop for the day.
I have at weekends forced me to spend more hours in the game, how to identify that it is time to stop before reaching the limit.

Just determine how much time you can afford to play. If you mean when to quit the game to avoid losing the prize, then here's the case.

deposit what you can afford to lose and stop playing when that is gone. Limit urself to a daily or weekly amount and stick to it.

When I'm tired, playing poorly, tilted or suffer a big loss... I sleep on it and come back in the morning.

My limit depends on which table I am playing.

In our weekly home game with $1-$2 fixed limit, it is $100 for a 4 hour game. I have never reached my limit. We play four hours.

At a casino, where the game is $2-$5 or $3-$6 fixed limit, my maximum loss is $200 per session. That has happened sometimes. I play till I lose my $200 or have plans to meet my wife - anywhere from 2 hours to 8.

At a casino where the game is $1-$2 No Limit, my maximum loss is $200 per session.

If you play for pleasure, then you need to set a limit, one that you can lose. If you want to earn a poker, then you need a bankroll around 100 BB, that you could play a distance.

Similar but I am even more poor. lol. actually I just play only 50 cent games and let myself play pretty much as much as I want. So it more of how much time can I afford vs money.

Hello.
For the moment, I am actually playing only in freerolls, so I do not have a limit. But it is a very good idea to set a limit on the day. Most importantly, then you need to find the strength to stop.

Yeah I'm my opinion I've found that when your thought process changes from thinking of what range of hands your opponent could have to trying to guess which individual hand he has its time to quit. For me I start just clicking buttons and hoping. I'm no longer thinking about my moves correctly and just start hoping my opponent doesn't have a good hand. Now whether or not I actually stop at that point is a while different issue. It's hard to peel myself away even though I'm in that state

I try to play for a certain time 5-6 hours, and not depending on the outcome of the game, after this time to get up from the poker table. The exception is if the tournament went very far, and then play to the end. If you feel the slightest signs of fatigue, get up from the table.

Once your play starts to decline, it's time to take a break. And of course if you have plans for the next day, it's important to be rested for those.
