I don't really know of such a story, only what you could read about, for example, how Chris Moneymaker entered and won the wsop main event in 2003 from $86 satellite. It's not a bad story. :)

This one from Moneymaker I think is one of the greatest poker classics. and inspired many players.

so many people play poker but haven't yet found a player who my loved one or know changed my life thanks to poker, so if you find them right away, I'll say: I CAN'T laugh:

An acquaintance won 60k at pokerstars and lost everything at the table, I never withdrew the money! I win the greed! but if you intend to enter large tournaments it can change your financial life if I win 2k I withdraw at least 1.5k I leave 0.5 for the bank! I have not become rich but I have solved some accounts playing poker

I learned about cases of sudden wealth in the game of poker, I learned only from the Internet. I don’t know if it’s worth it to believe it, maybe just an advertisement.

Of course I read many stories of poker players that had success starting from almost nothing, but I never really met anyone that had won a life changing amount playing poker.

Not of that scale and magnitude, but many who do well playing and for those examples is that I spend more time studying and improving aspects of my game to have my best version as a player.

I think you should just watch the Sunday Storm and Sunday Million winners every week. Unknown players often win there)

Next week I'm playing in a $160 2-Days tournament. I always played micro and freerolls. I won this ticket by playing a free buy-in sub-satellite. If I win some money in this tournament, it will definitely be life change.

Since first joining this forum I have seen a few go on to be High Stakes crushers. I remember one member, Bluenowhere4, a micro stakes freeroller challenging another member to a series of HeadsUp games (a forum dispute of sorts). Not long after he became a HeadsUp sng specialist, playing $300+ buyin level and made 100's of thousands online.
I've noticed some guys who play the $1K mtt buyins online (& higher) who I have player note tags on, from when they were in Cardschat games. Now they are high stakes regulars.
Some others I've seen in bigger tourneys online, only to discover they're not actually MTT players but play the higher stakes cash games. One I saw recently had a post on here quite a few years ago that was titled something like "Should I try to play poker for a living or should I go back to school (2nd year Uni)?" Of course 99% of the replies told him to go to school, he'll never win money in poker, it's a ridiculous whim, etc. etc. Today he's been doing it for years now!
