I think we need to define what you consider a winner.
for me to play without depositing, I would already consider myself victorious.

In my subjective opinion, these are incorrect data. I think the distribution is roughly as follows. 80% of players only lose money, I am more than sure of that. About 10% play without losses, but also without much gain. And another 10% of players have a stable profit. This is how this ratio looks in my opinion.

I am a winning player because I play freerolls) I think the figure of 90% or so reflects the real number of losing players

Is it accurate that 96% of online poker players lose money? I have seen several users on this forum in several threads throwing this statistic around. I would like to know if there is any basis for it; what study or source is this 96% figure based on?

And if you do not agree, what do you figure the statistical breakdown is amongst winners, break even players and losers? Thanks! 5️⃣
possibly I'm in that group of losers. I'm going back to studies and practices to try to improve my income.

I think there is a high percentage of players that basically just play freerolls or for play money so they must not be counted in this statistic

A small percentage of people make money from poker, here I mean those who withdraw the money they won.

Most lose for sure , I think these persentages of 95-99% are exaggerated , but yes , truth is that most lose. Then many don't win much , some regs win their living , very few have big winnings , then come the (true) pros who take the lions' share , real pros in online poker like C Darwin ...

I think about 80-85% of players actually lose money. Only skillful, experienced and patient players can play and make a profit. It is obvious that 80-85% of players do not have enough experience, skills, and patience.

Most players are recreational. I think this statistic is normal.

Yeah it's hard to make profit in poker that's why you need to make profit from freerolls.

Its a very hard topic, cause even the word profit not meaning the same for every player. And I'm not really sure its even worth to pay attention to others that much, when mathematics clearly tell that you can be a profitable player, and there are so many educational sources to be connected with, and keep progressing and rising. Has it a limit? Yes, but there are so many ways to measure what are you capable of, and what direction you have to stick.

I'd imagine this is just like everyother thing where most people dream about fame, money and so on yet only like handful of them actually achieve it ...

So yeah this must be totally accurate ...
