I would like to ask today about what makes you especially impatient and purposefully play poker. What makes you sit down and play with new energy, with a new charge. It is the driving force. By driving force i mean a force which pushes you to play poker. It could be anything. A desire for something or a desperate need to have something.
For me, it is the money.

A chance to make money on my own choice of time. Possibly building a better life for my family. To get out from under the control of bank loans and pay cash for things. Mostly financial stability at my own leisure

being poor motivates me to win the micros. I patiently wait for good cards and never bluff in the early stage. I also look in the places paid from time to time, I hope someday i'll be rich by playing poker

When I started online about 15 years ago it was a combination of fun and money. But nowadays it is only for fun.

The cost of living in my country is so high that you can't support yourself by playing micro stakes. The traffic is not there anymore over 0.5/1 NL. On most sites other than pokerstars and 888 the traffic is bad over 0.05/0.1 NL most of the day.

So I have to grind a regular job and relax with poker during my free time.

I play mostly for fun and to socialise, however I am on professional player and do recognise that poker is my business, so I treat it like one at times. Unlike many other players, however, I do find I play better when I have one or two pints in me.

For me right now it's the dangling carrot that ACR is hanging over my head with The Venom. Allowing me a chance to win over $1,000,000 through freerolls. How can anyone pass that up? Can you imagine the hero story you would get to tell. When you get to say "I just won poker tournament for $1,000,000 and it didn't cost me a penny to get in!"

Going and paying for law school. So far I’ve been able to lease my first car doing poker. So just trying to keep focused and continue to grind

Yes, there is a state when you play in a tournament and you want it to end quickly, you start to play weak hands, make larger bets than usual, usually ends with the fact that you fly out of the tournament without money. Came to the conclusion that before the tournament you have to adjust to the fact that the tournament will last a minimum of 6 hours, it's up to the final table, and as if you took your time earlier than 6 hours you don't finish this tournament, that's comforting.
