His range of raising on the button is fair wide so in general a resteal with a soooooted K is fine, but his stack size is such that I'm going to get shoved a lot and be forced to make a pot odds call - wtf was I thinking? If I do resteal then I should at least shove and not give hime 2 to 1...
BakeDaSnake: calls 600
Has to shove or fold imo but w/e.

This is not a bad play. You're pushing to get folds, trying to steal there. If he gets called, assuming he's not up against JJ+ he's got live cards plus 2 to a flush and several possible straights.

OK i see ur point but in this case with a raise and reraise this is just way to risky imo, i would expect some kind of hand from 1 of them

It's a horrible play Zach. Fold equity is small given that there's a reraise in front. And 57s against the range of a decent reraise is horrid, he's under no pressure to make such a move with his stack and could certainly find a better spot.

Donk with some cash or someone with lots and lots of cash playing for fun imo.

Yeah, but they expect something massive from you if you're 4-betting into two raisers. JJ/AK will fold, possibly QQ.

definitely risky, but I'm saying I think the process was a bit better than he originally gave him credit for. It's just the table seemed to be playing pretty tight to that point from what i could see and I'm surprised actually that AQ made that call.

Forget the stakes, there will be decent players, but plenty of fools as well (just a smaller proportion than normal).

Just play your game but have respect for other people's or you'll find yourself putting them on the one hand you can beat because you wish it were so.

You've got a nice stack so you've got time to think. And you have mad skills so no worries there :)

You're doing fine, just keep it up and as long as you don't get sucked out on you're looking to cash it looks like. Just try not to get intimidated but it doesn't look like you are so far. Very impressive :)

ok I hope that 79 play was an image play. You tried to steal, got caught by a basically pot-committing play, I was thinking before you called "fold or shove here", but you called, got a decent flop, were pot committed and lost. I think you needed to fold to the raise preflop, but especially with 79 I think you have to shove there if you're going to flat call.

spoke too soon zach :(

edit: was getting like 4 to 1 on a call (meaning there was probs a reason he was giving me good odds (monster) so I flat call, fold on a missed flop and save a couple chips.

Guess I can't read you too well. After he folded (which he didn't, assume he had an A?) I was ready to post here "nice bluff" lol.

lol. The turn bet looked reeeeally weak so was planning to bluff 3/4 pot or so if I didn't improve. I did so value betting against a small ace 1/2 the pot.

(he had A8)

stop 'n go makes more sense than a call imo. other guy is committed to call a shove preflop, but if he had overcards that wiff the flop, he can fold when jake shoves

however, if i had a read that the small reraise probably meant a big pair, i would have just folded. the price seems good but he's got so little behind that there's almost no implied odds to try cracking a made hand
