Last night I went to a local casino and played 1/2 nl and i only $300 and that was it. I saved and saved to get this money because i am struggling to make money right now. So when i played I and i didn't have the best hand i folded and i didn't bluff too much and i made a lot of mistakes due to that being all the money I had. Now when i play micro stakes online i play better because i have a bankroll for the stakes i am playing and don't have to worry about losing that money i can just rebuy. I will not be going back to the casino till i have a bankroll that can support it and I am a better player. I have enrolled into a micro stakes course and will be learning that and than i will move on to other courses. People at the local casino just don't want to fold and there is a lot of money to be made if your a good player. I need to work on ranges and i need to generally improve before i go back. I hope to go back in 6-9 months. Need to work hard on my game before i do.

Thank you for posting.

Bankroll is the killer for all players starting out. We all struggle to play to get better and not lose that bankroll.
If the goal is to play live you should study live play as it is not the same.

Bart Hanson and his site Crush Live Poker is a very good resource. It is a pay site but you can try it for free. Follow Bart on twitter as he posts valuable insight videos there.

Hope this helps

I wish you good luck in your training so that you can study the ranges and other useful poker materials well so that you can win good money later and be with a great bankroll, good luck

For sure, it,s better to play the limits, that is comfortable for you. You just need some patience. Sometimes i can play the lowest limits , you just need to feel, that this is not your last money and you can play the different games.

When you do go back to the casino keep in mind live play is very different. Especially bet sizing. Lots of free content and youtube videos about transitioning from online to live play. A few weeks before you go back to the casino check some of those out.

This is a really mature place to be. There is nothing wrong with building up to this new goal you have. Sounds like you have a recipe for success.

Unfortunately live poker is much more expensive and requires serious bankroll to be played. That's why i also play very rarely in casino - i just don't have the money. Playing scared and with money that you can't afford to loose never ends well. I wish you good luck with rebuilding your bankroll and better bankroll management in future.

Yesss... bankroll mtg. and experience go hand in hand. Once you can play by literally kissing your buy-in good bye and just play without any anxiety you'll find your limit and be relaxed and having fun. That's where we all wanna be, I think? :top:
