This applies to people who have been playing poker for a long time, how do you not burn out? I have been playing poker relatively recently, but the last few days everything is so bad and worse hands just move? how to get through this unpleasant period and take only lessons from it?
Just be patient the good hands will come. In the meantime just try and see how other players play and take notes for the next time you meet with them.

I have recently been in this predicament. Before the Pandemic started, I played every week at my local pub but with the Government shutting all Pubs, Clubs, and Casinos I was left with on-line games only, which I played but very seldom, I used what I learned from on-line games to play better Poker in live games, and did pretty well, making many Finals in our League games.
Once my Live games were stopped Because of Covid I turned to on-line games and discovered this wonderful site called Cardschat, where I could play Freerolls and get better at playing on-line.
I thought to myself if you really are as good as you think, maybe you could double your miserable $209 Bankroll, while you are sat at home imprisoned due to Covid, So I played and set myself this challenge, I played every day, up to 10 single table games at $1 Dollar buy-ins and all the freerolls Cardschat could give me and within around 6 months I smashed it, I not only doubled my Bankroll I actually trebled it to over $600 Dollars.
Then it happened, BURN OUT big style! Even though my local Pub has reopened and have started playing Poker again I still cannot find the will to return and start playing again, it is like the fire and passion I had for the game has died, even here on Cardschat I have not been on this Forum or played any freerolls in months, and my favourite Poker site PokerStars is only visited maybe once every couple a month's just to keep my chest points active.
I hope that being on this Forum and reading some of the posts will re-ignite my passion for the game, Here's Hoping.
For how long have you been away from poker?
That happened to me some years ago, in my case I just stopped talking with the crybabies, I wasn't rude or something like that, just changed subject to politics, music, women or something else. Listen to a lot of music and a lot of biking, poetry, yoga and meditation helps a leeway. :unsure:Take care of yourself, don't force into anything, when the time comes the flame will burn.;)

Take a break and then come back refreshed. Another thing, you should not play more than 8 hours a day, apart from that it is no longer profitable due to fatigue.

I think that in order not to burn yourself in poker you should be updating yourself periodically in strategy and all the variants that the game and the players are having over time, since today the game is not played the same as 10 years ago, the strategies and Player quality has changed and will continue to change over the years. What is sure that will not change is that if you are having a bad streak, it is best to grab one because playing continuously without taking a break leads you to make wrong decisions, either due to fatigue or bad beats or variance. of the game. You must take into account that you don't always win, but you can recover what you lost in a few sessions if you do the right thing and everything goes well.

It's very easy to do, especially if you're like me, who gets burned out on repetition. I'll go in spurts of not playing for weeks, months, and sometimes, a year.

The best thing I would say to do is step away from the game for a bit, fill your time with something else, then eventually you'll want to come back to the game.

For me, this is still an incomprehensible topic, while it seems that I could play for days, moving from one game to another.Thank you for discussing this topic, warning us newcomers.I will take breaks for rest and sports.I realized that this happens to everyone, thank you for warning.Good game everyone, I want to subscribe to someone to develop in the player, advise... Good game everyone!

Try reading Elements Of Poker by Tommy Angelo, he gets many life things in balance.
You can take a break from poker, go outside and enjoy the environment, things like tramping and fishing, divert your mind.
Before you come back to poker put some study time in. I've found Evan Jarvis, Gripsed communicates poker understandably, there is a lot of his stuff on Youtube.

I think there are a few things you can do to avoid burnout, exercise, eat right, and rest. Another thing that I think helps is variety - maybe one week focus on studying, the next week on volume, and the next week on playing your best game. Varying the games you play is also beneficial. I also like to work on different parts of my game by playing different formats. Hu hypers can help your end game, deep stack cash can help your deep play, All in or Folds help your ICM, etc.

By my opinion, in Poker, as and in Life, main, this is to survive! I think, in Poker this means: Skill to save your bankroll after a regular downswing,
and to move further! Something like that!..

If you become a consistently profitable regular, then interest in poker should not disappear.

I think I almost burned out about 6 years ago. It just didn't seem fun anymore. Then the strangest thing happened, social clubs/card rooms started to pop up around the state (Texas) and the next thing you know playing live against "strangers" again was on the rise. Sweeeet.

I think it is normal to feel like this on a downswing. I would say just take a short break from the game and you will come back renewed,
