This is a discussion on How much time do you invest in poker? within the online poker forums, in the General Poker section; I have been spending at least 8 hours a day for a year! But you?
Hi again Royal9012. When I first started playing online I played 8 or 10 hours a day. That really got old quick because I would be so tired that all I was doing after about 3 to 4 hours was losing. At this time I'm like eniseysmail above, I don't even try to play more than that. GL

Hello. Being retired and making a career using math, data, stats & reporting, I find lots of time to indulge in all the above relating to poker. A lot of my time is spent studying the game. I may spend several hours in a day playing cash games and also a CC MTT or 2 or 3. I am enjoying life and the game I love.
When I have the day off I usually play all day, the equivalent of about 12 hours, normally between that time I spend an hour without playing when I am out of the first tournaments, and that helps me to stay focused without fatigue etc.

I have noticed that seam to do better and win more often if I take a short break between sng or short tournaments. If I am winning, it helps me keep my head and not become that arrogant dumb ass. If I am losing, it helps me to not tilt as often. At some point I just decide enough is enough for the day.
Hello! I invest quite a lot of time in it, since it's one of my best hobbies. I usually play around 8 to 9 hours each day and also watch final table reviews by professional players to analyse some mistakes and implement that knowledge in my game. So yeah, I like poker a lot and give it a lot of my time as well
I think about the time invested in poker like waves, sometimes I feel that I need to play a lot to experience certain situations with intensity, when I can no longer evolve from that point onwards, I start to reduce the grind and dedicate myself more to studying how to evolve certain mistakes , so the time varies, 4 hours a day 12 hours another day, 2 days of rest, I think this is healthy
