What's the highest stakes you have played? Did you get a big tournament cash/win at sports and jump in a bigger game? How did you fare? Did you notice the gulf in player between this game and your regular game?

For me, I have jumped into $5/$10 PLO on occasion. Felt I held my own although the sessions were short.

My highest was a live 2/5 cash game. Most profitable online was 6k and live was around 7k in tournaments.

I don’t really play cash games but biggest for me was 2.50/5.00$ on bovada’s zone poker. Sessions were very short for me as well. After I won a big pot, I was out of there for fear of bots lol

Never played live, and online 5-10 cents at BOL because now that's the lowest stake available and I still have a bankroll there. At ACR I play only 1-2 cent tables.

I do not play cash games. The most expensive tournament is buy-in $ 215.

What happened?

I was in college at the time and long story short I had to make a decision, pay for school or keep playing poker. I chose school. And there went my bankroll.

My highest stakes game is live unlimited rebuy MTT with 10 euro buyin. I won around 450 euro from this one being in the final 3 and accepted deal. At this time though this money were helped me with another projects so i have not used them to play further. I consider this as one time chance and remain micro stakes player online. :)

i play Micro tournaments and sometimes low buy ins , but one day i was on a roll and was running deep in most tournaments and winning , i thought my level was too good ^^ so i did buy in for a 162$ MTT at the morning , the first hour went really smooth and good even got to the top 5 but then i got destroyed hard ^^ not winning much on my strong hands and my bluffs getting called often :p

Online my main game is $10NL but I've lost my ass taking shots at $25NL a couple times lol. Also I've taken a shot at the $1/$2 Rathole games bc you can buyin for $20.

5 10

The highest I played was 5, 10. And the truth is that it lasted very little and I left, I definitely felt uncomfortable playing. That made me realize that you have to have a good bench behind to play at those tables. Now I play 1, 2. thanks for the post you made me remember that moment gg

Highest stake in cash games 0.05-0.10$ 9max , more often 0.02-0.05$ ZOOM 9 max lol (well , when there was a pool of players on Stars ZOOM in the past :().
But in tournaments I have played 11$ tournaments , very very rarely 22$ , not good results.
I once had the chance to win a 110$ ticket in the bubble and with a medium or a little less stack , I called with Jacks on the big blind all in from very big stack on the button , he had A5 , bye bye 110$ ticket , sad , it would have been a great experience :(Since then I am kinda afraid/very very tight on the bubble and I try to get a 55$ or 110$ ticket in big events/series satellites , but I fail , in the future I will succeed it :))

when i first started playing poker in the mid-late 2000s on full tilt and pokerstars, i tilted badly and played up to $150-300 heads up games. i haven't even gotten close to those levels and now only play in micro levels

My highest stakes table was a $5/$10 VIP PLO8 table. I had $2,000, and bought in for the max, twice. I had a few good runs, but losing $1,000 in one hand, was really the last of that. That was a defining moment in my online poker career. I had tried cashing out, but I was playing under my mother's name. She wouldn't sign the debit card verification papers. This was one Poker Nordica. The rakeback was insane, also. A friend of mine ended up depositing and cashing out, about 4-6 months later. So maybe it wasn't all it was hyped up to be.

My biggest tournament was the wsop Big 50 this year. It was $500 and I made the money but busted on day 2. My biggest cash game was 10/10 $3k max buy in. I did feel that I held my own but also noticed a lot of stronger players. There is definitely a large gap between live 1/2, 1/3, 2/5, 5/10, 10/10 IMO. Having that perspective makes it easier to move back down and be successful in some ways.
