It's an old term used in almost all sports and it's not meant to be flattering,if your Holywooding it means your show boating when the outcome is known or just basicaly being a jerk

Yes, I've been given this moniker before in one circle..

It's not usually meant to be flattering but it usually implies overacting rather than showboating or being a jerk...

Wincing dramatically when someone raises and you're nutted, pretending you've got a really tough decision and taking ages before eventually shoving over the top could be considered 'Hollywood' type play.

There's not necessarily a connotations with being 'a jerk' it's purely called Hollywood because of the acting/actors link.

Over dramatic, deliberate or extended play acting.

I've never been called for that. I have gotten a few snarly comments or emoticons for checking back the nuts on the river hoping opponent VPIPs some chips at me. some say I've missed a small value bet...

I've never been called this, but I've done occasional "acting" myself. Why move though? This sounds like the perfect spot to setup reverse tells (Hollywood when you are at a critical bluff and you'll get them to fold since they assume you are strong).

Gotta disagree,if your holywooding you most certainly are being a jerk, been involved in sports for over 50 years and there is no other way to take it,it is in no way a flattering comment,it means your showing up your opponent with the outcome never in doubt,in hockey or baseball you do that and you have a brawl, only a poker player sitting behind a screen thinks it's cool

And that’s why I moved to rebuild my image and don’t do that anymore.
