what do you think about the way scotty acted at the wsop the other night when he was playing drunk and berating the other player about there play or when he won ........i lost all respect that i had for him .....he is a very good player and a nice guy when he is not drinking and the wsop is no place for a drunken player to be at playing :icon_sant :) :p

Scotty wyn? did'nt see it yet. but I can tell you over the years of cab driving and just general partying all together, is that when people drink & do hard drugs it pronounces who they really are. I can't tell you how many people I have thought were cool in my life until they whoof back some shots or drugs. And then this someone who you think is cool, is hitting on 16 year old girls and cursing at the top of their lungs at your neighbor's lawn elf at 3 in the morning. ahhhh personality exposure, gotta love it.

It makes me laugh about how people lost repsect for him coz he got a bit drunk and started avin a giggle.....that was so entertaining it was hilarious and the guy in the crowd giving it large was so wrong and the guy was well out of order.....NOT!! He won anyway so nobody can say nuttin, who said you have to act a certain way at a poker table the guy payed 50K to enter hes entitled to do wtf he wants IMO.

What really egged it on was the young guy in the white shirt to his left. After Scotty, in his buzzed state, berated a cocktail server for taking too long to get his beer, he lost a razz hand by finishing up with AAA I think, and the guy to his left won. The guy could have just clammed up and let Scotty go off on his own, and then he tried to act like he was taking ht ehigh road, and then finally he was talking more smack (w/o cussing) than Scotty. I'm glad Scotty beat him, baby.

Scotty had less than 20% of himself in this tournament. That means that other people covered over 80% of his buyin for the tournament. I'm pretty sure the way Layne was acting he had a good piece of Scotty's action in the tournament. If I was one of his backers I would have gotten pretty upset at his actions. Especially the drinking part.

Scotty pla yed a hell of a game. I think him being a lil bit of an ass, helped get into the other players heads. It was good entertainment. i still give props to him. Everyone is hating the player but his game is still sick. Damn I wish I had his loot. Also in america we have a right to consume alcohol. So kick some back and have some fun.

I love Scotty's game but let me say I was a bit disappointed. But the kid started it first with his crew getting all hinky. And when you beat Barry Greenstein you dont take a bow to your clan. The kid was very disrespectful to the solid players on the table. He was cocky and its one thing that sets people off is disrespect.
However Scotty's reaction was in poor taste and Eric L really showed the way to respond to the situation.
Scotty wanted this one so bad and his frustration got the better of him.
Still after reading Card Players story about this in the last issue was confusing. They didnt even mention the nastiness that Scotty infused on the table. They reported it like it was a house warming party and Scotty was the host.

Having reflected on it, I think there's a couple of things to keep in mind here.

First off, this isn't the first time someone's got drunk at a final table - nor is it the first time Scotty's done it. Apparently he and Eli Elezra were both wasted when they got heads up in the Stud8 event last year (not televised, unfortunately, though a few blogs covered it).

Jamie Pickering (an Aussie) also got wasted at the PLO final table when he was heads up with Vanessa Selbst this year (again, sadly not televised). Apparently that one really brought the LOLZ, as he was potting every single hand blind.

Something else that occurred to me as well is that this was Scotty's one and only outing wearing the Full Tilt logo - they can't have been all that happy with the way he carried himself.

I think the most shocking point about Scotty is that this is not his normal display of personality. We all see him drink on TV but he rarely ever acts like an a$$. I thought he was an ambassador of the game but now I think differently

Funny this thread is here - we are watching it for the first time now on TV.

I don't like it when any drunk is an ass.

In the beginning I thought DeMichele was a bit of a jerk, but I guess he was just trying to get under everyones skin. But Scotty was way over the line. The part where he complained about getting a drink was unbelievable. He always seemed like a nice guy.

Scotty has written an apology to his fans. Go to cardplayer magazine to read it.

That's because it originally aired on Tuesday at 8pm-10pm. That's when ESPN airs the new episodes of the WSOP. ESPN will rerun the Scotty's drunk performance throughout the weekend.

Personally(you guys will probably rip this one up, but oh well, lol), I think it was terrible. Scotty should have been told a few times he was crossing the line. With that much money on the line, there is no reason/excuse for the way he was badgering DeMichele, he and Lindgren got into it, right at the end, too. Absolutely uncalled for. I was a fan of Scotty's until I saw that. Obviously, I don't know him, but, I was embarassed for him.

What about when Lane Flack went to high five Eric after he lost and Eric just ignored him. Seemed like Lane was a bit drunk too and Eric didn't like him coming up to the table during the tourney.

wow, poker is really great.... where else can you get on TV, get really drunk, be extreemly rude to your fellow players and make thousands of dollars. Maybe there should be a 5 drink minimum at all final tables ... lol. I don't think scotty would have a problem with that. I remember seeing him at a torny a while ago where he spit beer (accidently) and and then spilled his beer on the table... I think it as a prior WSOP event. Think he might have a bit of a problem ? Good thing he didn't take up auto racing.

I have seen alot of comments about this everywhere on the internet.I watched it when it aired.I didn't see every hand but most of them.Opinions are like well, you know we all have one.So heres mine.I don't think Scotty was all that drunk.I believe he just let his emotions get the best of him.He couldn't stand the fact that a young player like DeMichelle was doing so well in the tournament. Most of us will ever really know what ALL went on.Who knows how much of it they edited out? I think he was out of line but thats my opinion. Not only was Scotty out of line there were others also.He should have been warned and his railers also. The officials of the WSOP are to blame too. They let it go to far. They have one reason for not doing anything about it and that is it made for good television. The worst of it all is that this tournement was to honor the great poker player Chip Reese!!!Its a damn shame that Scotty made an ass out of his self and disrespected the honor of Chip,Family,Friends, and Fans of Chips!!! Eric's demeanor at the end of the game excplains it all!!! How good of Television would have made if they ejected Scotty from the game...lol.If it had been an amatuer doing this,he'd been gone!!! It's just a damn shame!!!

I'm not really convinced it was the alcohol that made Scotty into the person he was that night. I have heard from a few people that he isn't one of the most liked of the tv pros, because of stuff like this. And the general rule of "a drunk mans words are a sober mands thoughts" applies.

Imagine being in DeMichelle's position at the end of the tourney when Scotty comes up to you to shake you hand and say bullshit compliments. I would have snapped.
