Who drinks alcohol while playing? I have a lot of anxiety, and I think a couple drinks actually calms me down. If I drink a lot then, well the looser I get lol.

A few of my best sessions were drinking all night. I think it makes people feel like I am just a tourist throwing chips away. If I stick to ABC poker then I am good. Drinking just makes the patience harder for me.

I NEVER drink when I play. You just end up making bad decisions in the long run.

I may have a Corona or 2 when I'm playing online, but beyond that...

I definitely play my best live cash game poker buzzed. I tend to over-think and level myself against non-thinking players when sober. A couple beers fixes that pretty easily!

When i play tournaments, I will drink casually. If I make the final table, I drink heavily. Not all the time, but many times. This calms me down and makes me a little harder to deal with, but I also become more sociable and friendly making friends at the table. I then steal there chips as I sip on my jack and coke. But if I suffer a bad beat, then I get a little pissed. haha. Always drink responsibly!

I do drink way to much when i play, its so much more fun!! This results in me losing my entire bankroll about 10+ times on high cash game tables etc. Recently i have started to exclude myself from pokerstars before i start to drink, that works well.. If i dont play at FTP or any other site that is!

I rarely drink at all. If I do I may have a beer or two. I like "Rolling Rock".

However, I don't think it is wise to get buzzed while playing poker.

I understand how it can help people loosen up a bit, and calm the nerves.

I just can't really focus and think straight with a buzz, so I never drink while playing.

When you can't see the cards on the board, it is probably time to quit :)

I literally have the shakes once in a while when I play sober. Whether its a great hand or I am bluffing, people have mentioned it to me a couple times and I just laugh and say I do that regardless lol.

Between the anxiety, excitement, and how friggin cold the casinos are lol.

I think that drinkin` at the table (live/on-line) affects u`r playing cuz u became more loose and play more hands. Maybe u`ll get lucky on a few hands but luck always comes out so u will lose money.

No problem with drinking if your body can handle it. Alcohol effects everyone differently. You can very easily drink 2 beers per hr and never get buzzed.

I built a 300 dollar bankroll into 2500 while drinking every night for about 2 months...I found I had been giving my opponents too much credit when sober and because of my range loosening up due to alcohol, my roi increased dramatically.

Another thing I realised during that run is using a check on the river can be hugely profitable if you have put your opponents on a draw...I hadn't really noticed it before drinking because I rarely did it with good hands.

If you are getting nervous and getting the shakes while playing maybe you are playing to high of stakes for your mentality

Everyone who decides to drink it during the game or not. I'm never going to drink during the game, a bad effect. Here's a super LSD, great game goes)))) PS I'm not an addict)))

Nah thats not it. I get social anxiety in public places. Its nothing crazy, just early on the nerves kick in. I'm actually very social when at the table, but early on for some reason I feel like a spotlight is on me lol.

It is so ironic that you are from ireland and built a big roll while drinking.

Lol.

P.s. I am Irish also. My grandfather was born there.
