My wife doesn't play, but she supports me a lot. I never had any problems with her about that. I think the fact that I don't use our money to play helps a lot. Whenever I deposit I use money from other sources that do not impact our family budget. And when I manage to raise considerable money and withdraw it, I end up spending it on my family. So she sees Poker as a source of income, not expense.

My girlfriend likes to watch poker and enjoys watching me play. If we play at home she does really enjoy it. She doesn't like to play for very long and she is usually turned off by long sessions. If I am in a tournament for more than a few hours she usually exclaims on how boring it is. She still supports me in it as I can be in long sessions with something to show for it. In reality I hardly break even, but she is happy when I am happy with it.
