No, it may be that because of his age he has been playing poker longer and that gives him advantages, or that he mentally wears out faster and is a disadvantage, but age only gives you predispositions, not realities.

It is said that age does not affect, in the main it is increasingly dependent on opyta and navykov

The young one is more hungry to win and with more intensity can play online. A much larger number of tables and with auxiliary software will figure it out faster than an elderly one.

Hard to say where is the truth! More luck than age is in advantage. But the psychological indicator definitely affects the game.

Seems like the Baby Boomers always win CC's Battle of the Generations tournaments...just saying.
You're right! The reason is that we got the undiluted genes of The Greatest Generation. LOL!!

I think age can be important and not. Because it all depends on the knowledge you have in poker. There are young people who study a lot and manage to know more than an adult player. And it can also happen that the years of experience that an adult has is something that a young judor may lack.

Regardless of mastering poker strategies, I believe that experience and skills are gained and developed over time, so I believe that a player who has been playing poker for more than 20 years is at the same level or more than a talented or smart young player, but luck ultimately decides who wins between them.
Quite simply, and let's be clear, suppose this young player is more skilled than the old player, then we can say that the old player was also skilled and at the same level as the young player previously, if that is the case, don't you think that the young player if he keeps up with the development of skills Poker will gain more and more experience with the passing of the years?
So I see that the old player will have more solid and stable experience than the young player.

Dead money is dead money regardless of age.

IF you know whatever game well enough and can spot the weaker players then you could be 80 years old sitting around, hanging out at the casino enjoying yourself earning casino rooms and points off the folks talking about some silly poker math or some new super duper poker theory or system thats going to make them awesome players in a few months while they're still trying to figure out $1/2 live consistently lol.

These games aren't just about something stuff you get from a book or watching videos or just blindly playing. You have to experience things and actually learn things. It doesn't matter if you learn how to deal with bad beats, suck outs, folding hands when you know you're beat at 18 or 68 or whatever.

You still have to learn how to deal with those situations. And some folks never do learn or care to learn. They just enjoy playing.

I think age matters in the game. When a person is older, he thinks longer, tries to read his opponent (they also think more about their chances in chess). And young people often play aggressively and often don't think their opponents have the most important thing they have. And they often rely on luck.

More than age, I think it is having a clear mind.

I think that age does not play a special role in poker, the game is more dependent on IQ and luck.

I think, in Poker (also and in Life) the All have meaning! Including, by my opinion, and age... But in one occasion this is negative influence,
in another this is positive! But the all is individually!
Good words, absolutely agree! Among the famous players there are both very young and elderly people.

In my opinion, a more mature person makes a lot of verified decisions, while younger players have many aggressive decisions

It seems to me that it is difficult for older players, conditionally 35+, to keep their concentration at the proper level for a long time

Age might affect for the better or for the worse . On the one hand you have patience , strategy , you have learned many things by playing a lot , but the younger have stamina , maybe more focus and they know and learn faster the new programme or techniques.

If you play all your life, I think later there will be considerable experience, which will definitely have a good effect on the general statistics of the game

It seems to me that the exercise for the mind, which poker gives, will be useful at any age. Great game for all ages. And if it's about a career, then there are plenty of examples of successful players of different ages. On the side of young people - mathematics and great endurance, on the side of older people - tilt stability and experience. I think so))) So my answer is - you can start at any age, and finish - as long as you see and can hold the chips in your hands .

I think reading the game is gained over time and the older ones will certainly read better.
and I consider reading in poker fundamental.
