I think that if I change everything since that tournament won. With only a few dollars of investment. The dream of all of us who play poker.

yes, no doubt he makes history in poker, but various others players also had their influence in the poker through the years.

The so called "moneymaker effect" has clearly changed poker world and caused the poker boom which even with the black friday is still present. Without Chris i think that poker would be far from current day's popularity.

I started playing poker in early 2004 and his wsop win was a big inspiration for me, and I think a lot of other people as well.

Most of the people here are probably due to this guy. He was in the right place and also at the right time. He joined when the site had just opened and the platform was more inviting, created an account and started playing on pokerstars.

He qualified through an $86 satellite to play in a $10,000 live tournament at the WSOP in Las Vegas and still won the tournament. In his words: "Poker is a game of skill with a big factor involved called luck."

Mне кажется его специально раскрутили и на его фоне втянули кучу народа в покерное казино с целью обогатится на простых людях:jd4::):jd4:

His victory gave a powerful boost to online poker and millions of players rushed to try their luck. His victory is the beginning of a poker boom.

His triumph revolutionized online poker most of all and opened the way for him to qualify for a great event with little investment of money through satellites to those great events and then everyone dreamed of achieving the same feat, that was the great money maker effect in the world of poker.

Without a doubt he helped start the online poker boom,, without the USA Government getting involved, it would still be growing at much higher rate. Just my thoughts.

It,s hard to say, just because it was many years ago. And i think lots of people who came in poker not so long ago even don,t know, who is this.
Right now he is representing AmericasCardRoom as their Pro Player. Also he streams sometimes at twitch.

I was checking his twitter page and was thinking he has more followers actually.
I just can,t say, did he change the game, or poker will anyway became popular just because anyone can play it.

It seems that he was specially promoted and against his background they dragged a lot of people into a poker casino in order to enrich themselves on ordinary people :jd4::):jd4:

Yes, I think so too. Most likely it was promoted by poker stars. After all, this poker site has been operating since 2001. Moneymaker won the WSOP in 2003, making a good publicity for online poker. After these events, millions of adventurers wanted to get rich in the same way. But that was a trap. Poker Stars did a very good publicity stunt that still works today. Good luck to everyone in the game))) !!!

Just check the WSOP main event prize pools after he did that. Chris played in the biggest field ever with 800+ entrants. after his historic win, it only got less than it last year and that was because of covid.

Being a Stars stunt or not, he still got the win and made it. That was an awesome feat. Right after we saw Dannemann get 2nd place (I think he was an amateur at the time?).

I think he influenced many many new players into that dream.

I can't really write any positive feedback about that man, as he became - who knows maybe always was - a bumptious, proud pr*** in many eyes. No wonder why they don't need them at the top rooms.

I was around when he won that, definitely influenced many players - or who knows, maybe more correctly let them chase a dream, lottery win...

He was at the right place, at the right time + he got the luck in the same time, nothing else. And as the media&money can oversize anything, make anybody the best or the worst, the rest happened automaticly......

Personally, even in that time didn't think more about that.

Oh, and nobody knows he signed the life, soul lifetime contract, how many celebs, famous, wealthy humanoids do.

Yes, indeed, his achievements are impressive. Everyone dreams of achieving such results, but few will succeed. Of course, the history of Chris's successful career has influenced the development of poker in general.
