It is a nice hobby or occupation, but everywhere must be the right measure. So I play almost every day, except the days I have a break. The break is necessary and is very important like the good game!
Usually play one full day a week. And like to play around 3-5 tournaments via multi table. I do ok in them. Stagger the tournament so at different stages.
I work from home so generally yes. Have to force myself to take time off. It becomes incredibly easy to get lazy, get emotional, tilt, etc. Probably healthier and better for your game not to...
I had to laugh when I read this. Was talking to a bud last night for first time in a few months, and I mentioned I had taken "time off" from poker. Which for me meant I only played 1-3 MTTs and/or sngs per day
At the beginning I used to play a lot, but now I have a schedule to play 3 times a week and between 2 or 3 tournaments a day, that way I can focus and generate profits at the tables.
I used to, before black Friday happened. For about 3 years, I relied solely on poker for income playing in pokerstars tournaments exclusively. I was on quite a roll before the shutdown happened. Since then, its been a bit of a mess trying to play on other non regulated sites, and after 2 years of trying live tournaments unsuccessfully, I now work for the man the past 8 plus years. :icon_sant
